Thanks all for your imput so far.
I tried the background world to one side then the other. Then I tried the center, normally I would not center something like that but it seemed to work. I probably should have stuck with my first choice.
I considered putting flames or glowy stuff at the rear of the engines. Yeah I like the exaust idea. I also tried the background planet being more cresent shaped but could not get it to look right. I may do a repost with the improvments.Any more help would be good.

Thanks all I'm tring some of your suggestions. I sent some time adding exuast and engine flame and working on many other changes, composition. Got long way to go. this could take a while. Fun stuff:)

Sorry for late comment. Maybe you already fixed things more. I agree with above suggestions especially exhaust and trails ( since your engines have intakes it is assumed they burning something ) Also, from some things I've read concerning photography and art in general, visual lines that draw you attention to the desired subject. Example, your clouds have a natural diagonal slant. Use that. Move the planet and foreground ships slightly left or crop so viewer's eyes move to subject. Oh well, enough said from this old guy. It is your picture after all.
