a number of people model using boolean operations (that's modelling in bryce). personally i think that can only be used for quick and dirty jobs. if someone was to make a capital spaceship with a million details out of booleans, they can be my guest, that's not to say that I'll buy it. that said, i don't buy stuff. i sell it. if i want something, i can generally make it. if i weed through all the latest nipple gear, i guess i can find something for bryce that can suit my needs. the cool thing about this hobby market is that you can generally create anything you want, at comparable levels to all the high-end stuff out there. you can model something in a different program, plug it in bryce, texture it, and sell it as a bryce object. neat, huh? drac
I'm in the same boat as Drac (but with better Internet connections..;) There's so many skies, mats, and objects for free out there, that I haven't actually felt the need. You can export .obj files from Poser and Daz Studio, so you can get people..I'm pretty content with what I have, Brycewise..;)

More. Better.
Anything that helps people create art is a good thing. Selling it comes with two sides. ok, more than two, but I'll just do two.
The people who have been with Bryce for years are used to a community where knowledge is shared and a large part of the art is making things yourself, or giving them away.
DAZ is drawing people from poser to Bryce, this is a good thing. An injection of new talent and ideas is needed for Bryce to renew its energy. These people have probably been purchasing content for poser for some time so purchasing content for Bryce won't be new to them.
I've completly lost my train of thought cause everyone is talking in chat right now.
Go for it! Make it! Sell it! Grow the pool of artistry and talent!
The Problem with Commercial Bryce Content There is very little you can offer for Bryce that is not available for Poser or as an .obj. Why not just make it for Poser and let everyone import it to Bryce like we do now? The Bryce specific things such as skies and materials are easy enough to reproduce that they really can't be considered a viable product. So what kind of content are we talking specifically? And why wouldn't we just get the Poser version?
Thanks guys (& girls :o)) I've been modeling for some time now but Poser can be a pain in the butt at times when it comes to models that import fine into Bryce & the like but go horribly wrong in Poser. I've asked the Poser forum if they use large or complex props in Poser or take them into another app? Mainly to see if it's worth the extra time in adapting for Poser or just building obj & 3DS for Bryce, Vue & Carrara. As for what type of content....I'm looking at offering architectural models like buildings, interiors, furniture, appliances etc. I already broker at DAZ & the Bryce content there is quite limited but I guess importing from Poser you don't really need Bryce specific models. So a generic one model fits all seems to be the answer :O) Thanks again Brian
SILO RULES DAZ/Studio replaces Poser.....nuff said.....

(( I only answer surveys if there is a free gift involved )) Yea me too!!!!! I also never buy content for Bryce...unless it's on sell for free... Yea for awhile there I was becoming a runtime junky....And this year I decided to start selling things I create. Hey something had to feed that runtime habit.

Hi just doing a bit of research on content for all the main hobby market 3D software such as Bryce, Poser & Vue. Do you buy alot of Bryce content? Is there too little out there? Or do you prefer to model using Bryce itself? Thanks for your input Brian
