Triangles are easy, once the light dawns, pdblake. You just add a cone, then set either the 'x' or 'z' dimension to zero. That gives you a flattened cone, otherwise called a triangle. From then on, it's easy, since adjusting the 'y' and the remaining parameters will give you the shape you want. Not sure if you can make a triangle with unequal sides (non-symmetrical). I haven't tried that.
