Hi, Everyone! I've noticed that in the "Fractal Weekly Windows" archive, some of the images have been deleted from the data base. See the above URL for an example. I go through and delete some of my images from time to time. I think most of us do. But when we delete an image that is in the "Fractal Vintage Showcase" or the "Fractal Weekly Windows," there is a big empty space. Is there a solution to this problem? Does anyone have any idea how to keep the image in the archives, or keep the artists from deleting the image from his or her gallery if it is also in the archives? Everyone has a right to delete whatever they want to delete from their galleries, of course, but I suspect we are deleting some of these images and are ignorant of the archive problem. ??? Linda

Hi Linda We were concerned about this when we started, and as you said "everyone has a right to delete what they want". So, we had placed this statement in the Fractal Gallery Guidelines: "The images are not stored, but linked to the gallery. A missing FWW image means that the artist deleted it from his/her gallery (so you might want to check to see if one of yours is picked before deciding to remove an image :D)." Of course, I don't know how many have actually read this, but it's there until a better solution comes along. Nick

Hi, Nick! In the galleries, under the "Topic" and above the count of viewers and comments, is an empty space. Is there any way to put an indicator in there? Maybe something like "FVW" or "FWW." That might help to remind the artist that there is a link to that image so maybe the image shouldn't be removed. Of course, since I'm not a programmer, my question is asked out of ignorance :-) Maybe that's a solution that can only be arrived at after hours and hours of programming. :-( Linda

Since the galleries here are organized in database tables it should be very easy to add a line under every thumb stating that this image is in FWW or something like that.
