Are 100 nodes, to many for good tan lines?

I don't know, if 100 nodes' to many... But they do look a 100 nodes worth :D Would let us have a glimpse at those 100 nodes? Maybe someone knows of ways to reduce the number. Martin

surely you could create a two colour jpg and use that along with the tex to create the tan line (thinking blender nodes etc, and im not going into it now it's 4:30am)

Getting old and still making "art" without soiling myself, now that's success.

OK, I apologize for obviously giving this way too much thought. Remember tan lines are caused by clothes. The clothes are not painted to a person. For instance a bikini moves, and doesn't adhere to the body in low spots. Personally I'd use a MAT. Tan lines need a bit of blurring, and reduction in strength in key areas. For more realism, two or more sets of tan lines should be combined but slightly offset; this gives the impression of several tanning sessions.

Are those tan lines made without any texture map ? It look's great !

I knew they were close, but was unsure weather to share the .mt5(s) or create an image from them to share. All the lines were drawn in poser (no texture), and extracted through the one sided square (ambient input) through the front camera. I agree the mask needs blurred in spots but if she was sunburnt most of these lines would be visable. Use a blender with your skin texture conected to both the color inputs. The top color is the tan.
