Subject: Subscription Sites

Are there any other active Subscription sites besides Poserworld, Propsclub & the Pose club over at BBay? Also is there any word as to the status of either Poserstyle or XFX-3D? Thanks

Thanks for the response, Musicat.
That is the props club I meant. I love their stuff and have had subscription ther for 2 years (almost). The way I worded my question it looks like I was talking about the Props club that used to be at Bbay. That's not still active is it, does any one know? I didn't see a link for it just retro stuff listed.

I believe the Props Club (by Traveler) IS the same as the one formerly offered/hosted at Bbay. Trav doesn't EXCELLENT work and I look forward to the download email each Monday!!

yes, the one that was at bbay is the props club. there was another club by xena at bbay. I dont know if its still there. she may have moved on but it was a great club too. there's "poserstyle" but I dont know if they will be up anytime soon. they were down & are still down for more than 6 months. dunno when they will be up. then there's the platinum club at DAZ3d. anything else depends on what your looking for & where you want to shop.

Agreed - Props & Pose Club(s) are NOT the same "thing"; I don't think that's what was implied! I meant that the Bbay Pose Club morphed from a Bbay product, to one hosted by Traveler. As for the lack of updates in the Pose Club, that has been due to Bill having some health-related issues, and he's been trying to ensure that while perhaps a bit tardy, he fulfills his "commitments." Frankly, for all that I've gotten already, and at such at a great price, I would gladly forego the rest of the subscription, so that he can devote his time to getting better, and not worrying about cranking-out poses...

There is/was also a PropsGuild which used to be free (a long time ago) and then I think it went to a subscription site. hmmm.. just checked and the domain name is for sale, so it seems to be gone. :sigh: That was the place to get Anton's Peacock as well as other older but still useful props. Was xurge the guy in charge? It's possible that whomever had it has changed emphasis and sites. XFX-3D has a problem with the owner and techy/administrator being in separate states and at odds with each other. More info here: http://poserpros.daz3d.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42503&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 I'm not sure when Dodger's classes end (art colleges don't have to follow the public schools), but suspect that when he gets back home, he'll be wrangling code with his bare hands to get access to his site again. Meanwhile, Traveler's PropsClub and Steve's PoserWorld are both doing exceptionally well. Both subscriptions have been among my very best purchases for quality as well as reliable updates. Carolly
