Subject: Problem using populate in Ecosystems!

GAM3d ( ) posted Mon, 12 September 2005 at 12:31 AM ยท edited Thu, 21 November 2024 at 1:38 PM

Hi, I was working on a Scene, ive created the terrain and then applied a complex material with ecosystems. But now when i press "populate" in any of the ecosystems the soft performs a calculation but nothing happens, 0 instances... Im doing something wrong? what can it be? Thanks in Advance. Bill.

Either: 1. the object(s) you chose to populate on the ecosystem base object are too large 2.the presence of foreign objects is preventing the placement of your eco-objects if you checked "Decay Near Foreign Objects) 3. The overall density you selected is too small To fix this: 1. scale down the size of the objects you want to populate 2. uncheck the "Decay near foreign objects" box or lower the decay percentage value 3. Increase the density

Either that or the terrain you wish to populate is too small

Still not working. I load a basic material, then add ecosystems (simple trees) and the terrain is populated well, i copied all the setting. I load my material, but this time the settings are not working. My material is a complex mix with various sublevels (a total of 4 ecosystems). Another ideas please please?

It happens to me all the time but I don't know why. I start over and change my workflow to rid myself of the bug.
The ecosystems have a couple of bugs but there are not as bad as procedural terrains.

Is there any chance to have a hand on the material that does not seem to work? So that we can look into it and understand better what you have done.
