Can you give an example of an item that you have bought, and what steps you've taken to load it?

Are you using linked Runtimes? Maybe there's a problem there. You'd need to be more specific about the products, what folders they're in, etc. mac

I agree with this problem as a new user myself. I wish I could just open a new product and have it work. I feel lie I need to do major surgery in cutting all the files aart and droping them in where they should be. This is not easy . . . What I am learning to do is to use the links in the program files in Windows to open the program for Poser and then sort all the doucments of a character pack where they need to go. I wish I could tell you how to do this . . . but I cannot yet since I am working with this same issue. A request to Curious Labs. . . please make this much easier to do. It is quite frustrating. Feel free to cotact me more if you want to learn this and work though it. seattletim@comcast.net Good luck!

I got the figures to open. I am still trying to figure out how to move the morphs to the correct folder and some of the clothing is being troublesome. Seattletim Once I had moved V3 to the right folder ' bingo' there she was. I am thinking that you have to open some of the files with notepad and then do some global find and replace on folder names. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone in Poser learning curve.

I forgot t mention that the read me files for the differnt characters seem to tell you how to divide up their materials and where to place them

You don't have to move anything if you point the installer to the correct location (i.e. the Poser 6 folder). Everything will be visible and usable... (Not that you shouldn't organize it different, but you don't have to...)

Dizzi do you unzip the files? What installer are you talking about

Dizzi ( ) posted Fri, 16 September 2005 at 11:34 AM

You were talking about DAZ products... DAZ products usually aren't comming with ZIP files... If you buy items here or at other stores they're usually zipped and contain the correct folder structure to work when extracted to the poser folder.
