Subject: No png pictures

Sometimes when I unzip purchased pose files, the png pictures don't appear, just text titles for the poses. The png files are in the pose folder with the pz2 files but they don't appear in the pose library. This seems to happen when their are a large number of poses in the folder.

There is a file number limit per folder, something like 200, which may be preventing them from being displayed. Try grouping the poses into logical chunks of a reasonable size in different folders.

Broke up folder into several smaller folders and all ok now

If you're on Poser 5, the limit is 100 by default, but can be changed.

Exit from Poser, and open RuntimeprefsLibraryPrefs.xml in a text editor (not a word processor).

Find this line:

LibraryPreferences curFolder="0" previewNum="100" (it's in angle brackets, but I can't use them here.)

Change the 100 to a larger figure, save and restart.

In Poser 6, this behaviour can be changed in the preferences dialogue > library tab.
