Subject: Large Renders for T-shirts

I'm looking to get some of my art made into T-shirts via Attic-Wear/Renderosity. I don't know how to make my images larger than the screen - I end up with about 700x700 images - and still know how my render will turn out. Can someone please advise me on how to make them larger? I can be reached here on Renderosity, or preferably Selene2@aol.com

Arr den you need to be settin' Render to New Window in de Render Settin's renderoptions.gif In a true pirate fashin' I be borrowin' a picture from anoder site `ere. set it to what ye wants to render to and ye be ready fer ye spoils.

ok dropping the pirate talk for the moment, because it slows the typing down. Forgot to mention to get the aspect ratio correct, click the match Document Window button, and make sure that the constrain aspect ratio check box is marked. Then just change one of the dimentions. Also note the resolution, this may be important for printing, check with the printer for the recommended resolution (or DPI)

Actually, in the picture you posted, I click the Render to New Window, and changed the Width and Heights and got what I was looking for! YAY!!! Any chance you bear a resemblance to Captain Sparrow?? ;-) Thanks for all you help Minimongo

The DPI setting should match what you're printing, but it isn't vital. You need to match the pixel size of the image. So, just checking on well-known T-shirt printer, they specify a 10-inch square image at 200dpi, which works out at 2000 pixels square. That can take a while to render...

I have plenty of time to let it render, I'm just not sure where to put what numbers...what width heigh resolution etc. Also it says to have it in TIFF format, and while I know how to select that format (I think!) I don't know how to open it to make sure it worked.
