Subject: no paradise for me

Marque ( ) posted Sun, 25 September 2005 at 9:03 AM · edited Fri, 26 July 2024 at 8:05 AM

Once again even though all cookies are on and I'm firefox I can't get into content paradise. Not going to bother trying anymore. I know the person here has said he will try to help but according to the tech person I was working with it's not their problem. Don't need anything they have that bad. Hope you all enjoy koji, won't be able to get him, and hoping I get updates for the teri yuki and miki models that they sold unfinished. I see from the ad that he is also unfinished, and like poser they are again using sales to get folks to buy them before they are done. I would tell their tech support this but it seems the only way to reach them now is to tell them here. And no, my ISP has not blocked them. Marque

Oh, and thanks to the folks who have reported that they too are having problems with the store, seems I'm not the only one now that is having problems. Marque

question

how many times in forum has a employee from EF offered to help you?

it's twice I know of.. and in the 2nd thread where he offered, hw was stating you've shown no interest in working with him to resolved the problem. is that true?

I find content paradise doesn't work well for me in explorer but I can buy stuff in safari browser. Love esther ps I bought Koji and Miki. Love Miki's bike.

Hi Marque, I tried all day (and part of the night...) yesterday to purchase Koji with no luck. Apart my card being considered new and no verified, even if I made at least a purchase there, when I tried to checkout I had a "page not found error". I made sure to check that my Anti Virus program was configured to accept cookies and send information from one web page to the other for the CP site, but it didn't work. Then as a last resort I disabled the antivirus and the transaction went through. My card is still considered new, but at least it was accepted and I was able to make the purchase. So the only suggestion that I can give you is to try and disable your AV program during the purchase process and see if it works. Hope this helps.

Marque ( ) posted Sun, 25 September 2005 at 12:25 PM

Staby I know what you mean, I bought all my stuff with one card, now it tells me I've never used that card there. Kind of scarey that you have to disable anitvirus to buy something. I was able to get miki, but now using everything the same can't buy koji. So I guess I don't need him that bad. This is like going to the grocery store, but you can't buy unless you go through a maze. Why don't they try making it easier on their customers? I buy here Daz and RDNA with NO problem, only at content paradise do I have an issue. I use IE at Daz and here and RDNA, no problems. Marque

try this. Go into your tool menue, options, privacy, and clear your cache. next, (this is more of a firefox insider tweak, but it helps with a LOT of problems) 1.Type about:config into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set network.http.pipelining to true Set network.http.proxy.pipelining to true Set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If youre using a broadband connection youll load pages MUCH faster now!

I can get the free stuff, that's what's weird, just can't buy anything. That's ok though, more money to spend at rdna daz and here. Going to check out those other tips though, already had cleared the cache. Marque

Marque ( ) posted Sun, 25 September 2005 at 5:55 PM

bobcat frustrating, took your advice, went to the site was already logged in but when I try to do anything it tells me I have to log in and then when I do anything it logs me back out. I'm not the only one who has had this problem. And before miki went on sale everything worked fine including my card. So since I'm not the only one who has had this problem I have to wonder why they keep saying it's something on my end. Thanks for trying though, Marque

This seems to pop up regularly in the Forum. I haven't really looked at CP much but the couple of times I did with Netscape 8 (Both with Firefox and IE rendering engine) there seemed to be issues. It has a tendancy to phase in and out as to whether it is responding or not. Poser 6 often has difficulty connecting to it too.

Only your mind limits yourImagination. Let it free.

MachineClaw ( ) posted Mon, 26 September 2005 at 11:16 AM

I have purchased a few items at CP with no problems. Using IE6. Had a few problems getting freebies, but seemed due to CP site updates at that time. I could not purchase Miki last week, I kept getting the login message when I was already loged in. Nothing worked so I gave up. I think that it may have something to due with site updates, like Koji on Friday, CP for me was all wacked out.

Hey Marque! You still haven't called....... No love? You've got my email, AIM, MSN, ICQ and Phone number. What gives? What more can I do to help you? I'm thinking you don't actually want the problem fixed. For the rest of you.... The page can't be displayed error at checkout should be better now, the firewall was acting up. The site is asking you to reverify a CC that you've used before was because there was a code bug that was storing multiple records in the DB (when there should only be one). I fixed this last week, but it did mean that many of you will have to re-enter your CC verification data just 1 more time. You do have to completely checkout before the CC hash (md5 hash - we don't store your actual CC #) is stored. If someone else w/ the Login issue has the time to help me resolve it please IM me and I'll send you my contact info. We can't reproduce it here and need your help. I won't take very long and I'll make it worth your while. -Rylan cp creator

rty ( ) posted Mon, 26 September 2005 at 3:13 PM

Oh - a CP tech! So they exist! :-p

I've never had a login problem worth mentioning (using Mozilla), but I never got CP to accept my AMEX card. Each purchase results in looong (days long) exchanges with support, to get my purchase unblocked. So I'm very interested to learn how this can be fixed (I have an order "on hold" right now, since yesterday, waiting for support to do something).

AFAIK there is something broken in your AMEX authentification.
And while you're at it, please also consider a bank's name can have less than 4 or more than 6 letters...

krazik ( ) posted Mon, 26 September 2005 at 4:27 PM

;) I wrote CP so its my fault. I've im'd you my email addy. Shoot me an email and I'll investigate why you're always being put on hold. BTW thats not the amex perse but a service we use for calculating fraud risk. You must be ranking high for some reason and I can help get to the bottom of it.

rty ( ) posted Tue, 27 September 2005 at 1:51 AM

Else than being from Europe and using an AMEX Gold, I don't see. :-p

You should maybe rething your fraud risk service. You might have limited fraud (as M. Tobias pointed out to me), but you're doing it by chasing potential customers away. Right now I'd rather have a tooth pulled than buy something at CP.

BTW, I've sent you my order # and nick; Thanks for your help.
If I can help you in any way to fix your site, please tell me so. I'm rather computer-savy (making a life as head of IT) and I can spend time & even money if needed. The only thing on earth I can't stand is the "oh it's working well enough for us - tough luck if you've got problems" attitude... ;-)

Tiny ( ) posted Tue, 27 September 2005 at 6:06 AM

@ rty. If you contact krazik you can help solving the problem. Not only for yourself but for others too.

As krazik said:

Quote - If someone else w/ the Login issue has the time to help me resolve it please IM me and I'll send you my contact info. We can't reproduce it here and need your help. It won't take very long and I'll make it worth your while.

Going through the login and checkout step by step together (you from your computer and krazik at CP end) will help solve these problems once and for all.

Lets all do what we can to get this solved for the good of all. :o)

rty ( ) posted Tue, 27 September 2005 at 6:18 AM

I've contacted him, by PM, and then by mail too.

My problem isn't with login (works fine most of the time), but with credit card validation (or better, lack thereof). And I'm the first one wanting to get it solved, since it always takes 3-4 days (and as many mails) to actually get my CP purchases... :-/

All right, waiting for them to wake up; It must be still night over there right now.

Tiny ( ) posted Tue, 27 September 2005 at 6:48 AM

I understand.
Just "grabbed your name" as one having problems. Didn't mean to pick on you. :oP

I meant it as sort of a "general" plee that we all try to help out.
Well... I think you know what I mean. :o)

krazik ( ) posted Tue, 27 September 2005 at 3:07 PM

Hi Tiny! I hope thinks are going well for you. Rty's problem is fixed now too. If anyone is having the login problem that Marque is and you have a little free time to help, IM me. Thanks Again, -Rylan

Marque ( ) posted Tue, 27 September 2005 at 4:16 PM

I take back all the bad things I said or thought about content paradise support. Rylan I appreciate your help, did not realize who you were until I called. Thank you again. Marque

Rty's problem is fixed now too. Yep, problem solved.
