Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 22 9:27 pm)
Okay, I assume you have purchased a character for Vicky. In that case, set up the new character in a scene by herself. Don't pose her or put any clothes or hair or anything on her. Just the morphs you want.
Save her to your Poser library. Remember where you saved her.
Now start the Tailor. When it asks for the CR2, choose the one you just saved.
Oh, and to find the CR2 after you have saved it...assuming you have installed Poser in the default location, look in:
C:program filescurious labsposer 6runtimelibrariescharacter
If you've installed Poser elsewhere, are using an external runtime, or are using Poser 5 instead of Poser 6, adjust the path accordingly. :)
In Poser, select the BODY of the figure, and look at the Parameter Dial menu. (If it's not up, bring it up under Window -> Parameter Dials.)
See what morphs are there. The ones that are not equal to zero are the ones you want to add. There may be only one, if it's a custom morph. There may be many, if the person who made the character used the DAZ standard morphs.
If there are a lot, use the "queue" function in the Tailor. Add the FBMs to the queue first, and when you've got them all, add them to the dress all at once. (It will take awhile.)
Yes, (See #17 and 18) Poser 6 adds two items in the CR2 that were not present in previous versions and Tailor doesnt know about them. This is the one reason I have kept Poser 5 online so I can use the Tailor.

I have been having trouble fitting clothes to my newly purchased V3 character, and the creator suggested pruchasing the DAZ Tailor utility/program. Has anybody used it? It looks confusing and I was hoping to find someone who could answer questions if any come up. I haven't purchased it yet because I wasn't sure if it ALWAYS fits clothes to morphed bodies. Anyone out there who can advise me and/or answer my questions? minimongo
