Hi ! I have been trying to get the Kasoburo[not shure how it is spelled sorry] working correctly on bryce. I save my poser model as a obj. The hair works fine on Poser, but gets bulky and have no transparency on Bryce. Is anybody can help me on this? thanks a bunch.

Bryce doesnt import the transmap. The best thing is, to read a tutorial. A very god one is here. It helped my a lot. Harie

For clarification only, I think Harie meant to say that the transmap isn't automatically impported into Bryce. One needs to map each hair item individually in Bryce. By the way, look forward to very long render times in Bryce. Each transmap adds a level of complexity that makes a render in Bryce of a character with the Kozaburo (sp?) hair a test of ones patience, even on fast machines. I only did it once and at 1048x768 (and artist quality anti-aliasing), I seem to recall waiting a few days for my machine to finish the portrait. I use a dual processor 350 Mhz PIIs and 128 Meg Ram, not that the dual processors help any in Bryce.

You are right Douglas. And the long rendertime is the reason because I use Bryse only for effects, who are not possible in Poser. I have as well Truespace, but to use it for the great renderings, first i have to buy more Ram :( Harie

Gosh, it shouldn't be anywhere near that long--I would imagine something else was causing that. I haven't rendered his hair for awhile (I'll look for an old thread about it in archives), but my experience was nothing like that on an older 300 mgz with 64 mg RAM at that moment.

Here's a little demo I did long ago with the first Kozaburo hair--I hope this helps. I didn't plan to do it as a 'tute', but as an answer to several people that were having problems with the transparency maps in Bryce. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=68021 Diane

and I guess I should have included this so it makes sense (you have to remember this is before Vicky--and when Kozaburo had just one or 2 hair models). http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=67896 Diane
