When some people post examples of their poser problems, I often see a floor that is like "mesh" with white grids. I don't have anything like that in mine. Here is what mine looks like. How can I get it to have that mesh/grid look?

Looks like you're using P4 or 5. The 'grid' is P6's new way of showing the ground. In 4 or 5, you could get the same effect like so: Select the Ground. On the top menu, hit Display:Element Style: Wireframe. If you want this to be permanent, you'll probably have to save Preferences....

Hmmm, I am using Poser 5. I just tried what you suggested. I closed Poser and reopened it to be sure. Then I picked the ground, went to Display, Element and picked WireFrame... and nothing happened. The pose window still shows like above. Also, I only want the ground to show as wire, not the figures I add to the window. Is that possible? Anyway, I still have a blank Pose window with no floor grid showing.

Did you hit Ctrl-G to show the ground?

And yes, Element Style will affect only the selected part. Here's a P4 render to show it's possible....

Figured it out!!! I had to go to Display, Guides, Ground Plane first. Then when I did what you suggested it worked! Thanks so much.

Shift+CTRL+3 will give you this display style for the ground (or whatever you have selected when you hit Shift+CTRL+3). It's very handy for moving things around when you have large props in the way.

I'm a drop down menu kind of gal. :) I only know 3 Window's shortcuts. CTRL ALT DEL; CTRL Left Click; and SHIFT Left Click. Everything else I do by drop down menu. I'm sure that Poser and my other programs have a million keyboard shortcuts, but I don't know any of them.

I have another question. If I apply tile to the ground, how do I get rid of it if I don't want it anymore? What I ended up doing was turning off the ground plane again.
