Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 4:12 am)
Holli, Vue will only import the Poser scene, so any wind dynamics and or animation has to be set up in Poser also, then just import the PZ3 file into Vue and it will ask you if you want to import just one frame, or the whole animation. Using the breeze/wind feature in Vue for example, will not have any effect on Poser dynamic cloth or hair once in Vue...i.e. you will not see Vue wind/breeze blowing against an imported Poser dynamic hair or cloth model. Hope that helps. Cheers

My pleasure :) Well, I think a full blown dynamics system in Vue is very likely at some point...it will just depend on what type of mesh it can be used with if and when it does happen. Cheers

YOu fix the courseness of transmapped hair in the highlights section. Make hair lighter and decrease the reflectivity I think from memory, this fixes it really really well. Love esther well poerhaps it will woork for dynamic hair to, but I've not tried dynamic hair yet.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Holli; While it is true the Vue 'wind' will not affect a Poser import, it is quite possible to create the effect in Poser and make it -appear- to. The problem is that they work differently. Poser windforce is closer to being water than air;you have to tweak both the windforce parameters and the hair parameters to get the kind of turbulence that you want (This applies to both cloth and hair, btw). The Vue side of the problem is that the wind is a runtime effect; it simply isn't there until you actually render the scene. What I've found works best for me is to do a preview render of the Vue scene, so you can see exactly which frame a gust begins, and when it eases, and you take that frame info into Poser and keyframe the the Vue wind cycle into the Poser windforce generator. It's not exact, but its the best that can be done at the moment.

Hello, I never tried it yet so I decided to ask first before I spend hours finding out myself. As far as I know the wind in Vue5Inf. is able to animate hair and dyn.clothing of imported Poser scenes. How do I set this up ? I have a Poser scene ready with dynamic cloth already calculated. What is the next step ?
