Hi all, I'm about to make a poser character of my latest model but I'm having troubles with the rigging.

I've imported the obj file and as you can see all the groups are there (right drop down).

I've created a bone (leftflap_bone) as you can see in the HierarchyWindow and aligned the bone where I want it.

Now - how do I assign the group "flap_inner_left" with the bone "leftflap_bone" so that I can make it movable???

The screenshot is from the "setup" mode in P4 Pro. Please help!

Your bones need to take the exact same names as your groups.

Beautiful model bazze! Don't forget that every group needs a bone, even the ones you don't intend to move. That was one of my first mistakes big mistakes. (I made many)

well.. I solved it by: 1) Spawning the groups (in the group editor) 2) Creating a new character (via the hierarchy edior) I have also created external geometry (poser automatically moves the geometry from the cr2 file to an external obj file if you resave the object _twice_ by hitting the plus button). Now the next problem, I think it has to do with the joints editor. I'm not sure but see what happens when I try to rotate the cockpit: The hole fuselage is affected. What should I do about this?

Complicated solution: You need to delete some channels from the CR2 to prevent the joint from bending other parts of the figure. Simpler solution: Disable the "Bend" option for the affected parts, from each element's properties panel.

Oh I've done that too! I unchecked the bend option - I like simple solutions.
