Hi, just wanted to pass on a great big THANK YOU! to everyone who took a look at my 1 Mil BC pic in the gallery. I think this is the most views I've had on any picture in so short a time period. I was really very pleased with the way it turned out. Hopefully this means I am actually starting to get the hang of Poser 6. hehe For a while there it was a in doubt. :O)

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but any time you include cleavage in a picture (or the promise of female nudity), it will bump up your views. That's just the way the Rendo galleries work... I've found it kind of disappointing, but I still like the gallery community as I feel it does have a lot to offer which compensates for this one defect...

Ah, so the picture is not that good then. ~Sigh~ Oh well back to the drawing board.

No I didn't mean that!!! It was a really well done piece and I thought it was very tasteful. I liked how you were playing with depth, color, and gradations of light throughout the render. It's just that there was cleavage in your thumbnail and gallery pics tend to get more hits that way. I feel like my best pieces get less hits than my bustiest ones...

True, I suppose having some cleavage in the thumbnail didn't hurt. Still I think the picture turned out nice and glad its gotten some views. :O)

Well consider that it's gotten more hits thab 'Savana,' which has a similar thumb and even more than 'Girls who just wanta have fun!,' which, to my eye, has a much sexier thumbnail. So if 'BC' has topped both of those already then I'd say it might be more than just the tatas :-)

Hi lmckenzie, that's what I am thinking. The other two you mentioned, were more intended to show off the product or WIP but I really did intend for this one to be more work of art than promo. I was really pleased the way it turned out as I find myself often cursing Poser 6 underneath my breath, and this is one of the best renders, IMO, I have gotten out of it. Particularly as far as taking advantage of the better render engine and lighting. The fact that the 1 Mil BC has gotten quite a few viewings and some nice comments made me think that folks were agreeing, at least in part. I am sure there are those who only noticed the tatas. hehe But maybe some appreciate the effort at artwork. :o) Thanks for the nice comments.

Yes, it is quite a stunning picture. Of course, "1 Mil BC" is reminiscent of the classic Raquel Welch film, "1 Million Years B.C.," so maybe that generated some hits as well. The moral is, you can always come up with a reason to interpret viewings if you get too caught up in it. Judging from the comments, I'd say it's just viewed as a darn nice piece of work.

A classic Raquel Welch film which I just happened to find in my local Wal-mart on dvd. Love those old HarryHausen (sp?) creature features. Sinbad. Jason. And of course 1 Mil BC with RW in fur bikini! hehe
