How do I make my materials and ecosystems follow a particular bitmap image or alpha map? If I create a greyscale image how do I assign plants and grasses to it? I don't know if I am making any sense, but here's an image to explain.

Best tut ever on the matter I think.

If you start getting objects straying out of their assigned areas, that's usually caused by doing things at too small a scale. That is, your grayscale map needs to be bigger, so it approaches better the size of the objects - rather than scaling down the objects to fit a small grayscale map.
