Hi everyone! A couple of weeks ago my daughter Paige volunteered to model for my mother-in-law's photography club here on Long Island.Coincidentally,Joanna,(jophoto) is the president of that club. You may already have seen Jo's picture of Paige this past weekend when she uploaded it to her gallery. Her son,Adam,(VisualTemptation) was also there and his pic of Paige is actually in the LWitG for this week.

This was Paige's first time modeling.I really think she did a wonderful job.

These are two pics my mother-in-law,Lolly,took of her that day.

The first one Paige played with, turning it into B/W etc. and the second one I cropped and cleaned up a little bit.I really didn't want to touch it so I did very little to it.I think it needs a bit more help actually. But,I'm just happy Lolly agreed to let me show these to you.

The three of us are all wondering what you think. Please feel free to add any suggestions you may have and play with either one should you feel like it.

I can't help but be very proud of Paige.I think she could actually make some nice money were she to persue modeling as a potential source of income.

Oh and one more thing.Someone who photographed her that day, sold his pic of Paige to some guy that makes silkscreens or something like that. Now that guy has the rights to the image. It is my understanding that Paige has no say about how her image is used at this point. Is that true?I'm guessing before she ever poses again she should have some contract or other that gives her some control over the use of her image.Oh well, live and learn.

Anyway,thanks for looking.Have a great day/night all!

WOW!!! Oh my, she sure is gorgeous Marlene. Definitly model-material if there ever where such a standard...stuff...thing. They both look incredible in their own way. I love how old that top one looks with light casted on that back wall...which is beautiful in its self. And that bottom one just screams of Vouge Magazine...not that i read such kind of stuff...la la la. Thanks for sharing, i bet youre one mighty proud model-mom now. smiley.gif

I know its not "your" photos, but i would still think that Paige wants them to look as good as they possibly can....soooo....jJust one tiny thing i noticed...the 11th time i looked, lol...theres a white triangel under her in that top pic...i would suggest that you get rid of it. #;o)

Lovely photo's Marlene - very Bardot ;)

We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Well I'd need his permission for that. But he has asked her to sit for him so who knows where that could go. Thanks Richard. I'm actually a Bardot fan.I know Paige will be very flattered by that comparison!

Wow page, looking good! I have to concur with Richard's comparison. Andreas already pointed out one minor thing...here is another. IMHO, the second photo seems a tad flat. Maybe lightening the midtones using Curves could help that. Wow, she certainly has had a lot of exposure recently, eh? I know you are the proud mom, you have every right to be. Good luck to you Paige!

Thanks Kort. When I edit out that triangle I'll work on the midtones in the second as well. I so appreciate these suggestions.I really respect all of you guys and it is always helpful to get the unbiased opinions of others.I find it very hard to see these shots through unbiased eyes! So thank you.

Marlene, Paige looks absolutely STUNNING!!!! Wow!!! i would like to give you some feedback on that first image, Marlene. First thing when i looked at that, i thought Paige's face was a mask. Her jawline is so sharp and looks like it's been over-softened in PS. The lighting/harsh shadows makes it look like she has no neck. Also looks like there's a lot of noise there on her neck area. the other thing i notice about that first photo is her hair is blurry. Also, there's no details visible on the feathers on her jacket. Actually, there's no details visible on much of her clothes at all. Also, i see several white spots on Paige's clothes. two of them are in the curve of her left elbow. the other one is about an inch above her hands. the last one is on her bra. the b/w tones don't seem right either. i think there's too much green in them. The 2nd image...i notice a square patch on her forehead. dunno what that is. In that patch her skin tones are lighter. the rest of her forehead looks like it has too much red. i would try to decrease that. her arm is the same way. i see reddish/pinkish vertical lines running up and down her arm. also focus is soft. well, that's what i notice. but probably people will just notice that Paige is drop-dead gorgeous!!!!! :) I'd be more than happy to play with these images and see what i can do, but i would need the original images and not the Photo-shopped ones. As for model releases...yep...next time she agrees to model for someone, she needs to make sure there's a release signed. Huge congrats to Paige!!!! ;) I understand why you're so proud!!!! :)

This is some nice shooting. Helps when you have the perfect model though. Be proud Marlene. Paige...good luck if this is what you want to do.To the top.

Well one thing is for sure, Paige is obviously much too ugly to ever model. Best tell her to get some sort of back room job where the public doesn't have to see her. (here I go joking around when I'm not even "part of the crowd" so...I'll have to explain I'm obviously joking around since Paige looks as beautiful as any of the current "hot starlets" people are drooling over) I'd have to agree with the comments on the 2nd image but it's a technical tweaking needed, not the fault of the subject. That feeling of proudness...feels good, doesn't it? (smile)

Well Marlene, first thing I did was to go back to your bio page. I didn't think you were old enough to have kids Paiges age, which is ???. Secondly, that little girl in your bio page is now this beautiful young lady..Wow.... I agree with you that Paige is definitly model material. You'll have to keep us updated on how she is doing. I think both pics are awesome, but then again, I'm not a professional. You should be a proud mom as I know you are..
