Subject: Problem loading a figure

clarkking ( ) posted Thu, 17 November 2005 at 10:42 PM · edited Mon, 20 January 2025 at 7:50 AM

All of the sudden when I try to add V3 to a new scene only the leg loads (one of them). I have everything set to show. I have already unistalled V3 and reinstalled once already. That did fix the problem but then it happened again for some reason. Has anyone heard of this occuring, do you know why and of course how can I fix this? Thank you for any advice you can give. C

Maybe it's a memory issue? Poser is a memory hog and it does some pretty weird things on me when it's running low on memory. Does it ever do it after a reboot or is it after you've been in Poser for awhile?

No it actually (as far as I can determine) only happen after I have saved a scene with a particular character set that i have received error regarding binary morph data (i'm not sure what that means yet but) it's those scenes that the figure is being saved. then let's say I close that file when I go directly to v3 only the leg appears. I should be okay on resources. C

What version of Poser is this? If it's Poser 4 / Poser Artist, try deleting ...RuntimeGeometriesDAZPeopleblMilWom_v3.rsr which can become corrupted. Poser will generate a new one next time you load the figure, so it will take a little longer that first time.

And then remember to set the new .rsr file attribute to "read only", or it will be re-corrupted every time you save the file.

Chewed many square feet of carpet over this until someone clued me in.

It's P6, okay so silly question but how do i switch off external binaries? The problem did fix itself once I unistalled v3 and re installed. but everytime i use this particular charac., set this happens. Why? Thank you, C
