Subject: Saving a morph as an INJ, need help???

Starkdog ( ) posted Mon, 21 November 2005 at 1:26 AM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 4:43 AM

i have created a morph for V3 using Hexagon. In Poser 6, I can select V3's head, and on the properties panel, i can load a morph. So, I select my modified head, and create a new dial. Now, how can I export this morph as an INJ file? I do know that the Poser6 characters use PMD files, but DAZ characters do not. Does anybody have an idea or tutorial on how to do this? TIA, -Starkdog

I asked about saving a face morph that I did. Not sure if that is the same as saving an "INJ" or not. But you can read it and see if it helps you.

You can use a program called PLH (Pozer's Little Helper) that is made to transform obj-based morphs into injectable ones. Personally I haven't been able to wrap my brain around the program yet, which is a shame, but in this case I don't think I can rightfully blame the program, as I've heard lots of other people have very good results with it. And anyway, it's FREE! It's available at the link above :o)

Online Now!

If you want it for your own and only for P6 its very simple. You need a figure without any morphs, for V3 you get it as V3 Blank SAE, for other figures you can use Morphmanager to remove teh morphs, or you can do it by hand, clicking on the morph and remove it. To this empty figure you apply your morph, switch on use external morphs and save the figure under a specific name. Switch off external morphs! The next step is to create the Pose file. It is a very simple one like this: { version { number 6 } injectPMDFileMorphs RuntimeLibrariescharacterV3yourmorph.pmd } It should be 7 lines of code, in older Poser versions there was a CR (Enter) needed at the end of the file. Poser 6 doesn't need this anymore (to my experience). For other Versions of Poser you can use the same figure, saving it without external morphs, copy the vertex information in a pose-inj file and use this with readscript, but this is too long and complicated for a forum.

Why can't Daz characters use PMD files? Any figure should be able to.
