Who knew,.......I didn't ! What I didn't know was that you could use terrains as boolean objects(see attached image), I use 2 terrains as negative objects on an elongated cube to make a passable crumbling wall. Of course being modeling challenged, this had never dawned on me. This was just a quick experiment so don't be to critical,.....it's a cheesy texture and I did a bit of postwork(added noise in PS7 to the crumbling parts), but all in all, I'm satisfied with the results. Of course you all probably already knew this but I didn't,......go figure !

This does make for great crumbling surface, I've had some great luck with negative lattice too. I like the looks of that wall.

Not to rain on your parade, but neg terrains as booleans is in the manual tutorial in "how to make a lake". Sorry.

If i see this right, I did know about using the terrains on a column to make it look smashed/cracked, so I suppose this would be the same.....and I'm a totally modeling challenged person too! LOL

Another really fun one to play with is intersection!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Nice job. Thanks for posting. I like to use booleans for making tunnels, caves, and mines. The painted lattice is used to carve out the tunnel out of the terrain mountain/host rock.
