Dear ZEW3D team, As a buyer and also a merchant, I would like to ask a few questions. First of all congratulations and goodluck with your new software. Now I will leave my merchant status behind and ask a few questions as a customer. 1) Does your product support 3rd party extansions by other merchants? 2) As they are face masks&facial enhancements, and as far as I know they are texture overlays. Will they cast shadows onto the base texture once rendered? Cause if not, they really won't look like masks. 3) If I am using skin shaders over the texture (Such as Face_Off's, won't these overlays get affected by the Skin Shaders? Such as spots, moles, vains, blushes, etc...... 4) How much is the price going to be? Kind regards, Umut B. Aydin (Umutov)

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Hi Umut,

Thanks for your interest in our product.

  1. Of course. Masker Uploader will be available on our web site few days after MASKER release.
It will look very similar to CLOTHER and CLOTHIM Uploader.

  2. All masks and caps textures have shadows, so its will look natural. Color changing function available in MASKER do not change color of shadow, so our masks are available in all colors and shadow always look natural.

  3. Colors plug-in for MASKER (available for free at our web site) beside many advanced color and opacity changing functions will let you create transparency channel for masks and caps. This generated texture can be use for all shaders as a cutting map.
Additional free bump plug-in will let you create bump texture for MASKER masks.

  4. MASKER contains 30 items (masks, make-ups and tattoos).
MASKER will be available in two versions.
Regular price for MASKER is $39.95 (so each item available in all color options cost less than $1.40).
All CLOTHER or CLOTHIM Users can buy MASKER with special discount - 15% off regular price. If you wish to know more about this offer visit our web site.

Best regards
ZEW 3d Team

It's impossible to get the download. Is something wrong?

Can add-ons be made by other merchants for this?
I am really curious to know how they will act with shaders.
It seems you're selling textures basically for 40$?
2nd Face WOW system actually creates Cr2s for each figure and you can use it layered adding 2 or more and still getting perfect results as explained in the linked tuts above! Can this compare or am I missing something?
LOL it wouldn't be a first! :)

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in our product.
Please try mirror link for demo version.

If you wish to create add-on pack for MASKER feel free to use MASKER Uploader.

MASKER let you use MULTILAYERING functions. You can use many layers with different masks, caps, make-ups, ear-rings and tattoos.
All layers lay on skin texture so make-ups and tattoos are not moved away from the head. We added shadow under masks and caps but not under tattoos and make-ups so all look natural.
Inside MASKER you can in real time mix and match all available items, change its colors independently for each layer and all this changes are accepted by one mouse click.
Additional mat file with many masks, make-ups and tattoos have small size because it contains only one combined texture map.
Thanks to MASKER you can use one figure with one texture map inside Poser so software works faster and do not need many memory.
Additional thanks to MASKER you can put tattoos and jewels on to a tongue.

So we sell not only second skin. MASKER is a software with many advanced functions to mix, match, arrange and change colors, with high quality textures. MASKER will have the same system of free-stuffs and packages as CLOTHER and CLOTHIM.

Best regards
ZEW 3d Team.

Dear ZEW3D Team, Thanks for the answers. I would like to get more in depth with some of them. "1) Of course. Masker Uploader will be available on our web site few days after MASKER release. It will look very similar to CLOTHER and CLOTHIM Uploader." That is a good step. It is always good to allow 3rd party support. "2) All masks and caps textures have shadows, so its will look natural. Color changing function available in MASKER do not change color of shadow, so our masks are available in all colors and shadow always look natural." I don't understand how that can be possible. Since it is just a texture overlay, it will just show simulated (painted) shadows. So the shadows will not be realistic. For example if the shadow was painted dark with simulating light coming from ahead and the artist was using light casting the shadows from the left, the simulated (painted) shadow wont match the scene. If in the application you can alter the direction of shadows, then you would have to create a lot of different texture overlays. How efficient is that? "3) Colors plug-in for MASKER (available for free at our web site) beside many advanced color and opacity changing functions will let you create transparency channel for masks and caps. This generated texture can be use for all shaders as a cutting map. Additional free bump plug-in will let you create bump texture for MASKER masks." That's a solution, however isn't that too many textures? "4) MASKER contains 30 items (masks, make-ups and tattoos). MASKER will be available in two versions. Regular price for MASKER is $39.95 (so each item available in all color options cost less than $1.40). All CLOTHER or CLOTHIM Users can buy MASKER with special discount - 15% off regular price. If you wish to know more about this offer visit our web site." I can never argue or question pricing. It is always about how much you want to sell your self and how much you can sell your self. However I am just trying to understand one thing. Since there was CLOTHER why did you ever make CLOTHIM or MASKER? since they are all unimesh, the same application would have supported all of these. Specially for CLOTHIM, just releasing male textures was enough, why make customers pay for the same base software? "MASKER let you use MULTILAYERING functions. You can use many layers with different masks, caps, make-ups, ear-rings and tattoos. All layers lay on skin texture so make-ups and tattoos are not moved away from the head. We added shadow under masks and caps but not under tattoos and make-ups so all look natural. Inside MASKER you can in real time mix and match all available items, change its colors independently for each layer and all this changes are accepted by one mouse click." But isnt that requiring to have a full head texture for each variation? User can end up with hundreds of textures just for matching 5 tattoos with 5 blushes and 5 lipsticks. Doesnt sound very runtime friendly. Please correct me if I am misjudging. I have to admit that ZEW3D makes very nice textures, but the problem I am having here is Great Textures being sold with a marketing strategy which I am having hard time to understand "WHY?" Kind regards, Umut B. Aydin (UMUTOV)

Hi once again Umut, Thank you for your interest and concern. We are very happy that you asked about many skin textures for one mask combination. It is no problem because MASKER creates project files. These files have very small size and can be use as often as you wish with deferent skin textures so you can save your favourite combinations and use its when you need it with any skin texture without loosing hard drive space. As we mentioned before MASKER works with Poser in real time, so you can apply changes (as textures or projects) by one mouse click. Bump Plug-In create as many textures as usual is needed to display bump (only one) and it is of course optional. MASKER was developed and created for end users conveniences. It is easy to use, it has friendly interface with preview and it lets create good looking renders without loosing time. Shadows look the same as they are visible on above pictures. We add natural looking shadows and we think its look good and natural enough. Additional thanks to this technic we can simulate different kinds of shadows under different parts of mask (for example if something thick lay on the top of the mask and should stick out more). MASKER technic lets us create semi transparent make-ups and tattoos ideal combined with skin texture. CLOTHIM has its own version, as you probably know as a texture creator there are serious differences between male and female body templates especially in pubic, back and shoulders area. As we wrote before this products are created to make life easier, so our clients need to be sure that clothes will look good on figure. That is why we have two different versions for male and female with different previews and textures prepared specially for concrete gender. By the way CLOTHIM LE was available for free for a long time. Thanks for the question about marketing strategy. It is very simple. Customers buy combination of easy to use software with many functions and high quality textures. Additional as our clients they have access to still growing number of free-stuffs and free plug-ins, and access to cheap high quality packages. We offer them all system of software, maps, plug-ins and tutorials with long term support. In our private opinion healthy competition is great. In this kind of competition customers win the freedom of choice. We hope it will be enough space for both products our and your. We wish you good luck in your business ;) Warm regards ZEW 3d Team

Dear Zew3D Team, Thanks for the answers and time. I am very happy with the professional approach you have displayed by investing your time in the answers and information. As from what I have seen and been instructed by your posts, it is a very good application for what it is, in the 2D area of texture overlaying. I am very sure that it will be very useful for texture overlaying in 2D style over existing textures and for a lot of customers it will be very useful in that area. Once again, thanks for your time. As for your private opinion about healthy competition, I can not agree with you more. Customers, plus merchants will benefit from it. As for having enough space for both parties, I have no concerns about it and I don't think Zew3D should either. After all, our products are in very different fields. We sell a 3D application for real geometric head enhancements and Masker is a 2D paint application for simulating 3D effects. I truly think that Masker is a great application for its use in the simulated 3D effect area by 2D. Another thing about having enough space for products, trust me, when there are over 500 skin textures being released a week in the Poser World, and somehow people still can survive on it, I bet that there is space for surviving for all products out there :) I wish you guys great luck and very creative days for making unique creations ;) Kind regards, Umut B. Aydin.
