Subject: Manipulating .3DS models in poser

I'm thinking of importing a 3Ds model into Poser (Poser 6 to be exact). Question is, if the 3Ds model has "morphs" (or whatever they're called in 3ds language), will I be able to maniuplate these morphs in Poser6? Thanks.

No. I don't think 3ds models can have morphs.

Randym77 is correct. 3ds files carry only the mesh and face normal information. They can also have material and uv mapping info as well.

You must load the morphs into the prop manually, through Poser's Object menu. They'll need to be in Wavefront OBJ format.

Some 3ds objects have animation in them but that can`t be imported into poser either, the only program that I have seen that can import 3ds animations is cinema 4d.

Poseray converts any 3d file type (that I know of) into .obj. It preserves the mapping and its free, too.
