I have a picture of a race car with graphics, And I need to repaint the whole car white. I know how to repaint a solid color. But I am having problems with the graphics. Can someone refere me to a tutorial or tell me how to do this. Thank you I have attached the picture I am working on

You cold make the graphics black,if the car is going to be white:) Not sure what your going for.

You might try Magic wand to select the blue, then Change Colour. Lou.

First, though... make a copy just in case... are you talking about the graphics on the car?... If you are, one of the things I'd do is to create at least two copies of the layer..... convert the white(on one layer) to a neutral colour... grey, maybe, but something that doesn't appear on any of the graphice, magic wand the areas that you want to select for colour change, then colour change... be careful of how much range you give it in selecting the colour.... the UPPER slider... the preview will give you a good idea of what's being affected. the simple reason for the additional layers is to not have to reload the image every time you don't like what you get. undo doesn't ALWAYS put it back exactly the way it was. Oh, well it didnt sound like that before. So you can get the car white? And you just want to make your own decals and logos and what not? Use your transform tools to position and skew your graphics in place. Play with the layer blending modes to get the graphics to contour to the car. I think you will find the above link very interesting, all you need to know to pimp your image;) When you get there, just scroll down to the: "Creating Decals Tutorial" Cheers and good luck!

One useful thing about placing the graphic on bumpy parts of the car is to use displace filter, that way the graphic will follow the bumps in natural way :) Oh yeah, and use the multiply blend mode, so that graphic will blend with the car :) Tihomir
