jewels of ice: festooned twigs glisten and glint, glittering sequence. Sorry, but I had to pun on sequins. ;^) In the Arabian Nights, those were the coins of the realm, although I can not imagine being paid 100,000 sequins, much less wearing my wealth! A traveling merchant seeing a web swaying in the breeze of a frosty morning might have thought of a sparkling dancer.
Snow-flakes fall in hand,
they melt just as they land there.
I still wish for more.
I really have no idea why I didn't start my Haiku with the last word of the previous post, as I was completely aware of the rules! I've even looked at every previous Haiku to see if one ended in 'see' and I made some sort of error that way. Ah well, just keep checking that syllable count...
