I'm going for this one. I finally made my motorcycle trip to Scotland this summer and I just love this view. Although it's hard to pick just one ;) And what's with the blue font, not very pleasant on a black background.Message edited on: 12/23/2005 15:35

Good idea Joe, any excuse to review your own gallery eh? This'll be popular one. The one I've chosen is a bit of a cheat, it was from 2004, but I reposted it again this year so I suppose its eligible?. I shot this in B&W at the time and added a bit of colour later. My daughter Sian is 5 now and is a constant amazement to us. Bless her , she is expecting a horse to be in our hall on Sunday morning (she's got a bike). I've told her Santa doesn't do horses but she's made her mind up Im afraid! Anyway I look forward to seeing everyones pick of the year, this'll be fun, again Joe, good idea!Memories Collection A collection of wonderful memories between my wife & I, guess that says it all. :) Super Idea Joe

This is my favorite photograph from my trip to Scotland this past summer...What an amazing secluded place this was,and we,(my husband and I),were lucky enough to be there just as the cloudy, cold day began to yield to a beautiful, warm setting sun. It's from the clifftops of the wee isolated hamlet of Pennan,on the rocky Northeast coastline. For the record,Pennan is famous in Scotland as the setting for the 70's film,'Local Hero',which incidentally, featured Burt Lancaster. There is something powerfully romantic about this shot to me,...it seems to have this tragic sense of lonliness and longing in it... which is why I paired it with the lyrics to my all-time favorite song,'The Water is Wide'...Sigh...(lol),I can't help myself.I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic... :^)
I'm so enjoying seeing the contributions here.I do hope there will be many more who find the time to participate.I love all I've seen so far!Best wishes to you all!-Marlene :^)

This was one of my favourites.Something about the colour and DOF. Not to mention I love car races. Ever since I got got a drivers license I have loved racing around. F-1 is my fav, but most any will do to watch. I want that Viper Kort had in his thread here."The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the
absence but in the mastery of his passions."

What a great idea. This was so hard to choose, It was going to be one from our holiday this year, first one for many years and the first with Irene, now Mrs UKmac. But I chose this one "Morning Mist", why, not sure, I just really like it. This is the view, in all weather conditions, I see every morning on the way to work. The morning I took this one with my old Fugi, I had only one chance as the battery died after this shot, so therefore it's a one off. There are so many I could choose for many different reasons but I'll stick with this one. Merry Christmas to you all. Damn was it hard choosing ONE image!!! So I eventually got round to it after clicking between pages! Title: Personal Shot Why: This shot just strikes me that's all, I really really love it, there's just something well personal in her eyes - longing, a yerning - I don't know. I also feel that I spent alot of time on this shot and was really feeling comfortable with my cam - seeing as I'm still learning ;-} Thanx for the great topic Joe! One brilliant idea after the next!Message edited on: 12/24/2005 01:47

Nifty idea, Joe :DAnd I picked this from my gallery because it was a magical moment at my favorite ruin around here. The light was perfect and even the woman who walked her dog vanished behind the corner of the ruin shortly before I took the piccie. And the clouds stayed put too...

And because it was taken right by the Polar Cirkle...which is as far north ill ever be...can just imagine this being the place where Santa himself dwell, LOL. OOOOOH, CHRISTMAS DINNERS COMING UP!!!! Gotta run folks....YUMMIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Have a wonderful weekend yall!!! #:O) AndreasHow come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is
supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Great Ideal!! This is still one of my favorite nature shots. I like it so much it is hanging in my living room (against my wife's objection to having a lizard displayed in the living room). Was a lucky day, as I was actually trying to grab some shots of frogs in our little garden pond, when I noticed this guy. Enjoyed viewing everyone's "Fav of the Year" photos. May we all have a great New Year, with even more great shots!Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1110860&Start=1&Artist=zhounder&ByArtist=Yes

Private Woman, First Attempt. I found it quite difficult to pick one image and this one is different from the rest. Why this one? I finally got the look desired in this bw shot and the model is a person with whom I am very much in love, essentially unposed. The intent was a series of little things generally done privately, like painting toenails in this image. Then, no more were done. I have to wait for the moment, a subject suitable for all viewers..perhaps touching on something the ladies do often without notice. Anyway...here 'tis.Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1061660&Start=19&Artist=azy&ByArtist=Yes
I put on a neutral grad filter just to see what would happen and the best shot of my year happened! I enjoyed looking at everybody else'sEggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!

I just saw the moment and took the shot. The softness wasn't intentional, but I think it really works with the image. Message edited on: 12/25/2005 18:09

OK here I am :) I had to repost it. The explanation is with the image. Brilliant idea Joe !And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---

Gee looking back over my images from 2005 makes me sad, what a year this has been for me *rolls eyes*. This image here has to be one of my best for the year of 2005, but 2005 was really sucky for me all the way around! Now 2006 is looking more promising... I have several shoots scheduled for Spring Break and Summer Vacation, I hope to really WOW you all in the coming new year! And Ummmmm Zacko??? You picked the one I would have! :) BrendaAttached Link: "When the Mirror Lies"
yes! .. a good way to look back & reflect on the past year.. what we were thinking at the time we uploaded a certain image & how much we've learned since..very, very difficult.. only 3 pgs worth of images this yr but each meaningful.. hmmm
i'm proud of this one, not really my fave though.. i chose it because i enjoyed the challenge so much of social issues & set it up with the image in mind.. it's certainly not a "pretty picture" & would not hang it! even though i luv the model, but was successful in getting the message across
really enjoyed looking at your personal faves of 2005 & reading the thoughts behind them.. ty!
cheers to 2005 & another for 2006! may the best be yet to come! ;]

I've visited everyone's personal 2005 faves so far, and I loved seeing them and hearing why they were what they were. Great collection!!!

Guess what!?!?! 2005 is quickly coming to a close!!!! What better way to celebrate than to share with friends. So, here's the deal, let's reflect on this past year by picking ONE (1) image from our personal (photo) gallery here at Render and providing a LINK to it in this thread. It can be one of your favorites or something you just feel deserves the spotlight once again.

Please include the TITLE of the image in the Subject field of your post.
Only 1 link posted per person (from YOUR gallery - no 3d, 2d.blahblahBLAH)

The reason WHY you picked the image! (optional!)
