Subject: Poser 5 and animation issue

When I render or make movie, the textures on my characters (hair, clothes, etc) don't come out. Yet if I render a single frame it works fine... the only thing that I do have is a backgroup picture in the scene.. Any help?

What render settings are you using? It sounds like you might be using the preview mode. Make sure you set it to Poser 4 or Firefly if you want the textures rendered.

P.S. If you're using the P4 renderer, make sure "use textures" is checked.

In Firefly it is set to Production and texture maps is checked.. I will try in P4 rendered with textures checked to see if that makes a difference, aslo does p4 render faster in production, I don't need high end res as long as the textures are applied..

But do you have Firefly selected in the "make movie" settings?

Im having the same problem, I have my movie output settings like this: Production / FireFly Renderer / Use displacement maps / Cast Shadows / Smooth Polygons / Use texture filtering / Pixels samples = 3 / Bucket size = 32 / Raytrace bounces = 4 / Post Filter size = 1 / Post Filter type = Box / Render to new windows / Constrain aspect ratio / Render over = black, blah blah (not important ones, i think) I cannot see the hair texture and it doesn't render over black, just the default poser background. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for any reply!

You have to choose your render settings in "Make Movie," too. You'll have a choice of "Current Display Settings," "Current Render Settings," or "Current Sketch Settings." You have to make sure "Current Render Settings" is selected. The default is the display settings.
