Say a moph effects a whole object, can that morph be split into two morphs that would each effect only one side of the object, respectively? I thinnk I'ce sen this done, but can't put my finger on it. I did a search through this forum, but didn;t see much.

Yes! It can be done in Poser 6 (I'm not sure about Poser 5). There are small black arrows to the right of each Parameter dial. Click on the arrow pertaining to the morph you wish to split. A menu should pop up. One of the options should be "Split Morphs". Select this and Voila! Two additional morphs suffixed with _l and _r should be created.

P5+ can do it.

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

If you also need to split a morph non-symmetrically and are comfortable with the grouping tool, ockham has a useful Python script in Free Stuff.
