I am just learning from sratch Poser 6. I've been helped already once for conformity shoes.... Tks again!!!! I got some characters and I am not been able so far to apply textures on them (i.e. make up, real skin text etc supplied with the package) When I have the character in the Poser window and go in the material room to apply textures of face, I cannot find the head but just parts of it (lips, eyes etc.) while the texture is a complete face picture with make up, imperfections, moles etc. Every tutorial I read explains HOW TO MAKE TEXTURES but at the end says APPLY THE TEXTURE, but so far I couldn't find a tutorial explaining "how to do" this probably very simple step (like 'conforming to'... which is quite simple.... if you know it!) Tks for your precious help. Giorgio Pls remember that also the most GIVEN fact on Poser could be completely unknown by me, so be patient...

You are correct that the texture map has "all the parts" on it, but that in the list of groups, there is not just one place to put the texture. You apply the texture to each of the groups, like lips, eyes, etc., This might sound too complicated. The reason for this is: One texture map, only, needed; but different groups can be affected in different ways (later when you learn more). There are other more technical reasons. The first item in 'poser surfaces' is 'diffuse_Color.' Just click on the litlte pin at the right hand side and go New Node 2D Textures Image Map you will be promted to browse for the texture map and you can attach it there. Hope that gets you a little way along. ::::: Opera :::::

Most textures don't apply from the material room, they use the pose room. What characters are you using? S

Tks both for the answers. I am mainly using V3 or others deriving from V3. My main aim is to understand how it works so I can start making textures and new characters. I am quite ok with paint programs....but now that I discovered tridimensionality...... Tks for your patience Giorgio
