I realize this is a poser area, and I left a message in the Painter area, but Painter has 6 new messages, and Poser has over 500 new messages. That being the case I hoped someone here might be able to help. I have 'Digarts Garden Hose v,2, and Garden Hose 1,5', that were for Painter 5. There is a label that says they are Jungle CD-R disks. I bought them some time ago and now that I purchased Painter IX I'd like to use them, But I'm confused about installing them. I hope someone can help.

Just drop them anywhere within the Painter program folder... Then open the nozzle palette and click on the little arrow at the top right to get this menu, click Open library and brows to the nozzles to load.

My Painter IX nozzle Pallet looks different than yours. Top lines read Capture Dab Capture Brush Catagory Import Brush Library Load Brush Library Floaters File ext-.POR Nozzles File ext- .RIF Library File ext.-NZL Textures File ext.-PAP Patterns File ext.-PTL If I click on any of the files from Painter, the folders seems empty.

Youre clicking on the brush pallet, not the nozzle pallet. The nozzle palette is at the lower right on the toolbar (red arrow).

An easier way is to simply use Ctrl+L to select the "nozzles" from within the nozzles directory on the CD. Of course, loading files from a CD is slow so you may want to copy the Nozzles folder to your HD and load them from there.

You should probably avoid using the Nozzle Library feature in Painter now because it tends to distort the images whereas loading the nozzles individually isn't nearly as destructive. Here's a brief explanation: http://www.gardenhose.com/P6Fix.htm

If you care to contact me off list, I can send you login info that will give you access to updates and tutorials. That applies to any DigArts customer here who hasn't received our recent tutorial/freebie/update emails. Send to info@gardenhose.com

Speaking of winter trees freebie nozzles, there are several small demonstration versions (freebies) available for download. Nice for winter backgrounds and stuff. They're at http://www.gardenhose.com/treelines.htm Use the demonstrations link.
