Here is the link to the mesh that is in Max format. I Should have been more clear. My apology. The format is in Max, and not 3dsmax.Click on link...the select "Meshes-New", then you find many Sci-Fi links..Scroll down and you will see "Stargate". Click on that, and you will see the Atlantis mesh in Max format. :-(

Robo2010 - sadly on the url you gave, you can't download any models. Theres only some brillant images, it says this in his FAQ... Q - Where can I download your models? A - My models aren't available for download anymore, either from this website or over email, sorry. As for max model conversion - unless you have max installed even deep exploration can't convert them. Seems like Max is like 'a locked format'. Easiest way is get as many max models as you can, then download the demo and convert these to .3ds before the time limit runs out. Or ask a max user nicely. It's a conversion hassle I've been trying to figure out for years :(
Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
I've got Max8. I'll convert any Max file you guys want, no problem.

If I understand correctly, the Stargate Atlantis series itself is chiefly done in Lightwave. As are all of the SciFi channel programs. You'd probably be able to find a ton of SGA models -- and other series, too -- in LWO format. Many of them for free.

There was a plugin that came with Poser Pro Pack that allowed you to host a .pz3 in 3DS Max. And a second one to host the scene in Lightwave. There still is such a plugin for P5 (don't know about P6). Reiss Body Studio. About $200 for the Max version of the plugin, the same price for the Lightwave plugin. And I believe there's also a Maya version, but I might be mistaken. A .max file is like a macro. A series of actions in 3DS Max performed on a base object. That's why you need 3DS Max to do something useful with a .max file, and that's why there are no importers/exporters for the .max format.

For days now looking for a Stargate, Atlantis Prop in Obj format. Their is only one which I could find, but it is in 3dMax. I do not have a conversion utility. I get nervous going site to site getting no where, and sometimes I pick up these pops-ups that go through pop up blocker. Also, never know what my system could pick up from these places. Anyone seen a Stargate, Atlantis mesh around? If you press on link, then select models. You will see a Atlantis mesh in the works, but when. Would be great for poser.
