I put The Island in Free Stuff here but it's still not up after 2 days so I'm letting you know it's available at the Commune Free Stuff. Go get it..you'll like it.

I got it and it's terrific!! And sorry, I must agree that it takes too long to get free stuff up here for Vue. :)

Still not here...am running over to 3DC !! :)) Thank you in advance! :) ACK! "unsupported jpg format"...and errors...so the island crashes or locks up on errors... :(

Life Requires Assembly and we all know how THAT goes!

Hmmmm?? That's probably because it was last saved with the latest Vue build..5.09. If you wish, anyone having trouble, I can email one generated from the first VueI build. Sorry about that but I'd say that's Vue's fault...But just let me know. M

Alas my version 5.08.02 won't open it and nope I don't intend to update until there's a build that sounds like it actually works properly

Hi Monsoon - that's a superb scene - thanks so much for sharing (i've learned a lot just from playing around with it this evening - there's lots to learn here!) >8o) Would you like to let people know on the E-On and C3D forums also? - I'm sure they'd appreciate it too! Thanks again and kind regards

Its a darn shame it will work in Vue 5.09 and not 5.08. Just makes double work for people who are free hearted enough to give something like this for free. :( Thanks monsoon for the free Island. :) I grabbed it from 3d commune this afternoon.

Thanks Mark, very impressive work as always. Much to play around with & learn from here!

Thanks guys..I'm glad you like it. It's so weird all these different builds that will or won't do a certain thing...so confusing and as iloco says, it makes it very difficult for us content creators. At any rate, I have a version done in 5.07, the original boxed VI which should be compatable with everybody. The only thing is...that version wouldn't let me eco the foliage mats with the alpha trees. Go figure. So.....I stuck the .vobs on the north beach. That's where the main camera is. So save them out and eco the main island as you wish. All said....anyone that wants a copy, just give me your email and you'll get a Whalemail notice for download. Again, thanks for your support and enthusiasm!! M

as for versions not being backwards compatible that happens sooner or later with any software package, its the nature of the beast when certain features or fixes get implemented. as long as newer builds can open old stuff thats realy all thats important (and aslong as content creators stick with official builds and not beta builds), far better having your application evolve then not implementint fixes and features just to make sure that old builds can open sourcefiles from newer builds. in my humble opinion
