Subject: Problem with saving characters in P4

I get an odd saving problem in P4 when adding a character to a character library. Basically, when I load the character back from the library, all the joint parameters are messed up. The figure looks like they are in a funhouse mirror. This happens intermittently and is unpredictable. as anyone else come across this? My only solution is to save as a poser document. I also get this in a small way with hair. If I put hair on a figure, then save in a library and call them back, the hair is offset or rotated 90 on the x axis or both. I have tried shutting poser down before reusing the characters so I don't believe its a corrupt environment issue.

That's happened to me, too, and I've seen a few other references to it. I've gotten in the habit of saving the .pz3 files I've used to develop the character until I've tried bringing it back in from the character library, just so I have a backup.

Is this a new problem or has it happened before, because I had that problem when saving, not to the libraries, but in general. The fix was simple, when I installed it, I forgot to disable my anti-virus softwhere, and it kept some .dll from loading right. I reinstalled with no AV and it was like gold. -Gabe-

It does seem to be a problem. It has been posted before, but yesterday, I saved my figure; when I re-opened it, all I got was the clothes and the hair. Hopefully metacreations will come out with a patch in the future, but for now, all we can do is hope our next save will be a good one. Radart.

I had that happen with a seen all other elements were fine but one character was missing except for the clothing and hair the freaky thing was that when working on the image you could see the character but when you rendered it all you got was hair and clothing.

with the patche on the metaside you can now save your figure with all clothes an props as a whole groupe. props must be on the hirachy to your figure... i think its the best on the update patche ...*ggggg

Yeah, there were problems with the early patches causing this error. It seems to work perfectly now.
