Hi everyONe I'm new to renderosity and inviting you to visit my gallery and my web pages where you can find a lot of stuff. Can some of you help to understand how to upload more than 1 image a day in myGallery in renderosity? Thank you Very Much. http://www.village9991.it

To upload more than 1 image / day youhave to pay a little fee. Il sito molto carino.... fa inoltre molto piacere incontrare dei 'compaesani' su questo bellissimo forum! Ciao HG

The "Gallery Plus", it think it's called, is $5-US per month and lets you upload 3 per day. I can't imagine why one would want that other than in the beginning to get their previous body of work displayed quickly but some folks just don't seem to have any pride in their galleries and upload "what I made today" no matter what it is. I reckon thats not really a bad or good thing - this gallery serves different needs/purposes for each person. They require a credit card and the fee gets added once a month. I'd hoped they would allow a one-time yearly payment of $60 but they couldn't do it that way. I'm just funny about thinking I've paid the card down and there comes another $5. Skinflint! lol I pay the fee even though I only average maybe 3 uploads per MONTH, sometimes a few more, if I'm lucky but I'm just a good "boy scout", I guess, and feel I should chip in something for all the exposure - and entertainment! lol - this site gives me and my art. Shoot, it would cost twice that to even $50 per month for the amount of space many of us have here. I forget what page it's on - maybe "My Services"? under the pull-down at the top left or right of the page where it says "Member Options"? Or IM Nick(vclaszlo) or Barb(Dream Warrior), the moderators. Been paying for a long time and don't remember - brain cells are such a rare and precious commodity as you get old(er) - lol.
Rick

It's just too bad, that people need to have a credit card to pay for a membership, many other countries uses the bankwiring system, and it's safer too... but guess America doesn't belong to those 30 countries with such a secure banking system. I am sure that, that could be a reason for someone to have more than 1 account. Rick only suffers from a split personality [read: identity], and i bet his wife doesn't. 3 accounts on one CC isn't so bad, right? I have only me, myself and i ... thats 3 lol Harmen

Oh BTW there are quite a few private multinational galleries where you can upload more than 1 image with a much bigger size than what is allowed here. But that's a personal choice or invitation smile Good day

Harmen - having multiple accounts in my family and paying for one of them isn't a problem when, between those accounts, an average of maybe four to eight images gets uploaded PER MONTH when I'm paying for NINETY......IM"H"O..... I'm sure there are more than a few at Rendo with multiple accounts who don't pay anything at all.

I see no reason to upload more than that because I only upload what I feel are the best of my efforts and belong in a gallery that defines me as an "artist"(whatever that is) to anyone who might stop to look thru it. I've never thought of it as a place for "what I made 2day". What I made today - and yesterday and the day before, for that matter - pretty much reeked - lol. If I upped 3 per day, 99% of them would be pretty mundane. Also, upping very large images leaves you wide open to image theft. It's real hard to make a decent or even marginally acceptable 36x24 print of an 800x600 compessed .jpg. That would require something around 7200x4800 in a .bmp. .tif or .png format. I just tried to resize a 512x768 .bmp up to 4000x6000 and it looked absolutely horrible. And I've heard the Genuine Fractals program isn't all that good, either.

Rick edited for spelling - been WAY too long since 3rd grade! lol

Rick, like i said, i can not pay the monthly fee, because America doesn't belong to the 30 countries [including Australia], where the modern bankwiring system is a common happening, you guys still have to suffer the oldfashioned creditcard way. The other day i tried to buy a software package i only could get from the USA, and this was their answer to my question whether i could wire the money for that program: #If you know someone with a credit card that would be the fastest and most efficient way for you to purchase the software -- just have them enter your email address on the order form. If you do not know someone that can purchase it on your behalf, you can send us a bank check issued in U.S. dollars (not a personal check). We are not able to accept wire transfers -- U.S. banking is different than European banking and thus the cost of wire transfers is very expensive for us. Please understand that we cannot ship software paid for by checks until after the check has cleared the bank which can take 10 to 15 days after we receive the check. So, having a friend purchase the software will get yo the software fastest. (You will be able to download within 24 hours). If you would like to pay with a bank check in U.S. dollars, please fill out the order form online and print it out. Then send us the check to: # The other day, last sunday, i ordered a backpack for my son, his was too large, and i wanted that one for my sport activities at the fitness centre. I paid by bank instantly [internetbanking]. I had a confirmation from them of the order on monday morning, they got paid overnight, so they could ship it monday afternoon, and i had it the next day, tuesday. Normally such things takes about a week. I can't use a creditcard due to my bankruptcy a few years ago, like so many others aren't able to. Renderosity and equivalent don't allow any other form of payments due to their middle-aged policies... .... I can't upload more than 1 design either Rick, i just have multiple accounts because of the different techniques in which i present my designs, some are used by my children from time to time. If someone wants to steal my designs for their own profits, they will see an expensive lawsuit coming, or an agreement which results in a cooperation, as has happened not too long ago, as you may know. He used a trick in photoshop to make my images transform into something much more larger. No editing needed, as far as i know... Have a good day Harmen
