Cute... you've got a little train set going already! :o) But seriously... you've really got this thing on the road... the rails... whatever. Now that I've seen the scale of this thing in relation to the details, I think that the glass parts of the front part of the train look tremendously oversized. In effect, it makes the whole train look tiny. Just a suggestion to keep your sense of scale consistent ladders are to scale, but the doors are oversized, so the glass looks oversized... so do the hatches on the bulk container car. With all these oversized elements, the train now looks smaller. Just some nitpicking... keep going. :o) Cheers! M

ok, suggestions noted mr moe :), i'll try adjusting the size of the front glass, from 1.2 m to 400 or 500mm. as for the doors on the box car there isn't any glass , but i'm thinking of shrinking the door to just big enough for a rudeboy to be loaded. lastly shrink the hatches to maybe 1m thx again moe, i think your making me a better modeler, or being a pain in my ass haven't figured that out yet. lol j/k bud cheers seano

I have a small suggestion. When looking at the model, it looks a bit odd to look through the front window and to see right into the back of the train. You should make an internal wall, with a door, for a drivers compartment, that seperates the front section of the first part from the rest. And a small tip. I have a very low polygon model of a wooden mannequin that I import into every scene that I make. I just park the mannequin off to one side. This helps me to keep things in scale, and "grounds" me in a visual image from the real world, instead of just relying on measurements. It is easier to judge visually if a door looks too big if you can see a human shape next to it.

redid the ribs on the engine and shrunk the glass a bit, reduced the size of the hatches on the tanker and added ribs

Coooool... now while you're at it, can you please reduce your images to less than 900 pixels wide, so moron's like myself don't have to horizontal scroll to see the whole picture. It would also be nice to have them optimized for grayscale so that the entire thread loads nice and quick. Just a small request, my friend. :o) M
