I like hex in terms of modeling ease, but already being in carrara is a huge advantage. The vertex modeller is much better. I would try the hex demo tho. If modelling is important to you you owe it to yourself to try both demos to see if you can model comfortably in one.The dynamic geometry along w/ other features is really great in hex.
No need to think outside the box....

invisible.
Get the C5Pro first. Then get Hexagon 2 when it comes out. They may offer a competitive upgrade for it from Silo, or some other modeler you might have.

Eovia seems to release new versions every 18 months. Maybe they'll demo it at this year's Siggraph.

I'm trying to decide whether to jump on the C5 and Hexagon bundle tonight or just upgrade to C5 pro. The polygonal modeling has always been very frustrating for me in Carrara (I only have version 3). Does Hexagon have an easier learning curve? Am I missing out not going to the Pro version of Carrara? Any and all input appreciated! memaci
