Subject: Any advice for a Poser newbie?

I've just ordered Poser 4 online, and before I receive it I wonder if anyone has advice for me in advance on using it; techniques, tips etc. I've used the Poser 4 limited 30-day trial, so I should be a bit more prepared. Thanks

Do the tutorial in the book. Choose a saved pose that is close to what you want, then use the dials to modify it. For a lot of poses you'll want to turn IK off. Save often. Use the memory dots. Read the manual.

And read the archives in this forum. There is a huge amount of useful info burried in here,. Also, if you have any specific problems ask them here. You will nearly always get an answer.

Use the time waiting for Poser to arrive to:-- Stock the larder with microwave meals

  • Get in crates of beer
  • Take photos of your family, next time you notice them they will appear older.

Welcome to the world of Poser and 3D modeling :)
