I actually prefer Hugh Jackman but as he's not even in the running with his current vote count, why not just make TG happy? So I did. ;)

Casette ( ) posted Sat, 18 March 2006 at 12:28 PM

Hey, sir, I've voted him (he has a strange likeness with a potion master called Sivirius Snoopy or something like that) ... but IMHO as man, it's a very hard competition... because the other ones are younger and (IMHO again) very attractives... I would vote Hugh Hackman or Josh Holloway :P

That man is close to my mom's age but he's STILL far too sexy for his own good... drools At least Alan is "only" 19/20 (depending on how you count) years older than me... :o) You guys ROCK! THANKS!

Sean Bean played Sam in the Lord of the Rings movies.

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Sat, 18 March 2006 at 1:45 PM

@ Ghoyle Being apparently the only peep left on the planet who has never seen any of LotR movies, I plead ignorance there ;o) But thanks for telling me why someone at all would know who he is LOL! @momodot Yes, he's the snarky curmudgeon par excellence. which is part of why I love him. Yes, I'm obsessed with both Snape AND Alan Rickman, who, in my mind are two very seperate persons. But both are equally real. Probably because I've KNOWN Snape's sister... I had her as my german teacher in grammar school....

Sean Astin played Sam.

Sean Bean played "Boromir", Captain of Gondor (Brother of Faramir) who tried to take the ring from Frodo and ended up getting killed by Orcs while trying to save Merry and Pipin.

Plus he was in "Troy", and dlots of other things too. Message edited on: 03/18/2006 18:42

I usually vote for Alan just to make Trekkie happy, but Hugh Jackman (drool).... Sean Connery is older than my mother and well, I don't really go for older men, but his voice is great. Hugh Jackman looks great in X-Men and in Van Helsing and in Kate & Leopold... yum.

By the way, there is a beautiful morph of him in one of JPeter's Movie Men packs in case you'd like to do renders of him, together with the Jason Hair pack, which does a Wolverine hairstyle, or the Beast Hunter stuff you could do Van Helsing type stuff. Of course with the M3 Wizard Robes and Cloaks and Tunics you can do Severus Snape, but I think Alan looked better as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the old Robin Hood film from Kevin Costner (with Sean Connery as the returning King Richard). Also in Die Hard or in Galaxy Quest, Alan is great. And that voice of his will go down in film history. Shame no one has done any morphs of Sean Connery, or of Elijah Wood, Sean Bean, Sean Astin, Viggo Mortensen, and of course the great Gandalf himself Ian McKellen. I guess those would be cool projects but since no one does celebrity look-alikes anymore... Oh well. Greetings, Antonio

Won't argue that this guy's not drool worthy, he certainly is, and I agree on both points about Sean Connery but remember, looks aren't everything. Otherwise the world would be full of Gilderoy Lockharts. :shudder:

Acadia ( ) posted Sat, 18 March 2006 at 7:19 PM · edited Sat, 18 March 2006 at 7:29 PM

I just turned 44 and biologically Sean Connery is old enough to be my grandfather!!! Ewww! He's not at all what I would consider "sexy". Way too old. Besides, most people get plastic surgery from the jaw up. You can bet from the jaw down he looks 76 years old :) Oh, and he admitted live on Barabara Walters some years ago that he beats his wife...and he was dead serious. He went on to explain why he does it...something about a woman needs to know her boundaries and there is nothing wrong with slapping her when she crosses over them.

I'd love a Viggo Mortensen morph/texture for M3. There is one out there for M2, but it's just a morph, and while a morph is important, texture is everything.

Actors age, but their film performances don't. Which is why one might still consider Humphrey Bogart droolworthy, even though one might be seeing Rick, or Marlowe. Likewise, which Sean Connery, Alan Rickman, or Sean Bean? (and, for me, he got Boromir right) (And, for those differently inclined, substitute Lauren Bacall, Helen Mirren, or Honor Blackman.)

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Sun, 19 March 2006 at 4:10 AM

Yeah Sean Connery has some weird ideas on how to behave. And I don't know if he's had plastic surgery or not but he still has this inexplainable "something" that makes age to something that doesnt' really matter. As does Alan. I mean, let's face it, the man just turned 60, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't abduct love to just SEE him live once. That "In Demand" video is awesome. I have the utmost urge to strangle Spiteri and take her place LOL
