Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 11 3:50 am)
The scales appear stretched when the object is bulging outwards (a'hem, polite cough), whereas perhaps a more uniformed size of scale would look better.
I mean, may be better that the scales don't look like part of a rubber suit stretched over the figure. I think perhaps this is an issue of the way the texture is applied to the figure by the software program (Poser 6). Just my two cents worth.
Otherwise, yeah, has potential.

yes I had noticed that actually. But, as in this case anyway, since it is just a shader applied to the base figure (in this case Aiko3 LE) I'm unsure how to correct the problem. Any ideas anyone?

i like it, but can one scale the scales? hmm, that sounds like a riddle. i just mean, i'd be interested in adjusting the size of the scales upon application. like, for this example, i'd probably like them to be smaller, but with another figure, this size would be perfect, or maybe even too small. not, scales varied on one material.
cobaltdream: Yes, you can adjust the scaling of the scale bump in the material room. This is set to .3. Obviously if you're applying them to the Mil Dragon you'd want them bigger. Or bigger on some areas such as the body and smaller on others such as the head and wings. I designed it so that they would be useable on a variety of figures.
