I really am impressed with the colour coming from this D200.This Mallard is so far the the sharpest capture of an in flight for me. Below is the crop, an dthen the original. D200 VR 70-200 F.2.8 Focal Length 200mm 1/1000 sec - F 4.5 AF-C 200 ISO There was a bit of shadow darkening for the background in top one.

Yes- The D200 is amazing. I recently had the opportunity to "test drive" one and was impressed at the quality and the speed. The camera is a hot commodity as we sell them as fast (or faster) as we receive them. But its also who is behind that camera that can make a difference- one has to know how to use it to maximize the potential of the camera- great shots!

I was also surprised to see how the lens burned through the tall reeds in this one.

This Redwing Blackbird is a fine shot...not one of the more commonly photographed birds. Did you get the "kit" or just the body? I checked out the lens you used...yikes($$) but apparently a fine one. I wonder how well the "kit" lens does, not an f/2.8 and not the top of the line but apparently decent? Anyone know?

wow such a colourful duck...but that black one I like much more !!!! What kind of bird is that?
