Yesterday, I had a box of some personal belongings sent to me from Sweden. A friend put together some stuff that he found and shipped it over here. Among the thing there were photo albums that I haven't seen in ages, and in one of those there were old negatives. The photo in this post was taken by dad about 50 years ago, and I scanned it and inverted it. And the quality came out great, even though it's been laying around in a paper envelope for so long. I've got a lot of negatives that are not more than 10-15 years old, colour one, that have been completely useless no matter the storage. So either the film back in the 50's were just great, or it's lousy these days, not sure which one it is. Thought I'd share this because I love this photo. It's of my grandad and his dog, Lady. Wow, what a nice suprise for you, eh? :m_bouncy: That is a terrific photo and you are fortunate that it has survived in such good shape for so long. The negative must have been VERY stable. Thanks for sharing it with us, and any other you may have too. :m_smile:

I found negatives that I've never seen as photos before as well, so yes, it was a great surprise. This one I do have as a regular photo already, but it's in a very bad shape (and mirrored since I never did that when I scanned this negative). Thanks, Kort

guess you can find a photographer or someone here may know how to get this onto a photopaper. You know in a dark room and all like in the '50's. i know a lot of people still do darkroom stuff.

That's not a problem. The guy I'm living with know how to get a photo on a piece of paper if I want to do that :) But thanks anyway :D
