Last time I was there, I couldn't type fast enough and you mocked me mercilessly. I can't help it if I did things when I was a youth that damaged my delicate brain. How do I know you won't mock me again ? Are you giving away free cheeseburgers ?

Last time i was there i got nothing but sarcasm(sc), if i want that i only need to talk to myself or log onto any irc server.. Oh another thing i find interesting and funny at the same time. How you state and i will quote you "share advice, links, tuts and what not" I have yet to see any of that in the times i have been in your channel drac. You also stated "Chat" in the times i have been in the channel there have only been two occasions where there was actual chat going on. Now some advice from one thats talked on irc for 7 years, oper in a channel for 6 years and hosted chat rooms on chat.msn.com before they placed bots in the rooms. Make sure you get people in there chatting in a friendly manner and about the 3d art world like you state your channel is for... CD (sits and waits for the fish to bite)

Ok Cd, I'll bite. According to my logs you have "Chatted" on Rendergods eleven times since January 19th, 2006. Everytime you have been in contact (talking), with at least one of our members. At no time have you logged on to a empty chat room. As per your last coversationat rendergods that you claim to be mistreated, you were talking to Khai who had given you a biting word of sarcasm. That word was "Yay". My, that was nasty there Khai! If you wish I can post your log-in date and times for you to look at. I too have been a moderator at another forum. There have been a few people we have assisted in the finer arts of Bryce, Wings 3d, and Poser. The trouble is when people come in with the attitude that they know everything, how are we to help? I will end this by saying that in your post you have told several fibs and half-truths. Being soo experienced in the ways of chat rooms I'm surprised you forgot about automatic logs. I do believe that a apology is in order, don't you?

@kimpe yes you took the "Bait" and bit well thank you :lol: If by chatting you mean saying hello and asking someone how they are then yes you are correct and i do apologies for my mistake on the definition of chatting. Ok fair enough then i will correct myself on one part, the times i have been in there no one was talking about 3d art I will end this by saying yes i have my logs on which are always on and have been for the past 7 years. I still have logs from way back then which are backed up on disk(one day i'll format it) On a lighter note i did say in my sig that i would wait for the fish to bite. My post wasn't ment to be done in harm but a stirring bit of fun which i must admit did seem to sound wrong on my behalf and for that i do apologies.:biggrin:

are you people serious or what? it's way too early in the morning for me to read this kinda crap. if you join and there's no chatting, it means you landed right smack into a period where there is no chatting. we're usually there mornings and evenings on the sides of hte atlantic. if you've received a weird reply or whatever, and if you consider that a reason not to come again, then don't come. although honestly i didn't understand a single thing of what cd was talking about. thanks, drac (and yes, it is blatant self-promotion)

Uh. Been there lots. Maybe it's my ruggedly handsome looks, or the fact I'm old enough to be their grandpa, but they've never been anything but nice to me while I'm there. I've been solicited for advice a few times. Looked at wips, etc. Lots of good natured teasing. No real cruelty. Sometimes there's no one chatting, people do have real lives, so I say hi, bye and move on. Sometimes chatting for hours. Like having real time pen pals all over the world. So what if it's not all 3d chat. These are my peers, and I'm interested in more than the artwork they do. If this sounds like your cup of tea, come and play when you're bored sometime. If not, your loss. :b_smile:

OK my little peeps.   If there is ANY scarstic remarks made in rendergods  they had damn well better come from me!   

Gotta say, it's one of the nicest chat rooms I've seen.  We've only had to ban a couple of people and they REALLY deserved it.  Other than that, gentle warnings seem to work.   If anyone gets upset by something someone says, then tell Drac or Me (or one of the other ops) and we will deal with it quietly and efficently and with incredible style.

Also you have to remember, it's not really a chat about 3d art.  It's a chat for 3d artists.     But that doesn't mean advice and tips won't be shared and forthcoming.   If there's a question, then it has to be asked before it can be answered.
