You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Confusion sets in... Is there text formatting somewhere around here (other than simply using html tags)? I don't see it near this reply box...

No, the forums now have an HTML editor. You do not need to know or use HTML. Just type in the text and format it as you wish with the buttons at the top of the reply box and you're on your way.

I usually type my posts in Outlook for spell checking reasons, then copy and paste them into the forum reply field.
On that particular post,I went back and edited the".(Directly under the word "Body") part of the text.
BUT..I notice Bobs warpped correctly also.
I think that if your text exceeds the reply body,it wraps correctly, but if you hit "Enter" it spaces twice.
I did not copy/paste this reply for test perposes so ignore any mispellings.

testin italics..ok looks the same to me, then again it is 3am in the morning.
On about e-bots, why is it now when i get them there is a large cap inbetween each line of text..never use to be like this.
Just so you know what i mean here is a copy of one i just received

I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.
Okay..do you see my last post? (about prefences?)
That was typed in Outlook first, then paseted here.
I got single spacing even with hitting enter(In Outlook)
But the post before that I didn't (I just used the text reply editor here) notice how my long, first sentence dropped properly?(The words "reply field.").It's my guess that hitting "Enter" is what is double spacing.

I suppose the long title is truncated.

"Cheers Hawk - that's gotta be a pain."
What's gotta be a pain?
Do you mean typing everything in Outlook first?
If so...no,it's not really a pain. I have dual monitors and Outlook open in one and my browser in the other.
It's great for spell checking first and also gives me a copy of my posts in case the server times out while I'm typing.
Usually,when I'm ready,I re-fresh my browser and paste it.
I got into the habit when I was Admin over at 3DCommune.
It didn't look good for the staff to be making tons of spelling errors...lol

I like that the ebot gives the thread subject in it's subject line. I can go through my downloaded email and quickly kill off the notifications of repeated posts in a single thread and only click on the latest one. With the old system I would have had to open each email before deleting it. I'm saving time now.

Quote - I don't have an arrow. FWIW I'm on a Mac using Safari 2.0.3.
The HTML Editor does not work on Safari. I, too, use Safari and am disappointed by that fact. However, we officially only support the following browsers: Firefox, IE, Netscape, Mozzila. Many in the browser community have complained to Apple that it needs to take Safari back into Beta mode. It simply needs to be re-written because it doesn't support anything compared to mainstream browsers.
Most Javascript-based inbrowser HTML / WSYWIG editors don't support Safari. In fact, as far as I know, none of them do. If you want to use the HTML editor, you will have to use Firefox or Netscape on your Mac.
Sorry for the bad news.

If I refresh evertything shows up, but sometimes there's nothing there, no formatting section, no text box, nothing selectable.
And this is with Firefox, I don't feel like trying it with IE6.

If you're joking that's just cruel, but if you're being sarcastic, that's even worse.
I used 1.5. It's not my regular browser though.

I posted a reply to a thread in the Poser Forum; just a paragraph of text, and what happened was all replies to the OP (including mine) disappeared, and the following message appeared above the thread:
