Hrms, I really need to put up a render of my Dracos Orientalis, don't I...

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

Curio ( ) posted Tue, 14 May 2002 at 5:44 PM

..still working on mine... expect it some time next centuary! :)

Valandar ( ) posted Fri, 28 June 2002 at 5:56 PM

AFAIK, the Dracos Titanicus I posted, and many of the alternate morphs / etc for the DAZ dragon are here in the store, as is my Dracos Orientalis, which I haven't put up a pic of yet, and the DAZ Dragon, Adult Hatchling, and Hatchling are at DAZ. Most of the rest are former freestuff items or B-Bay items, many of which are no longer available. For example, I am currently looking for a permanent home for my Land Dragon... he is currently without hosting. ;_;

Methinks September should be the Month of the Dragon... Yours is soon out, Curio, there's at least two others being worked on, and now we also have the Millennium Dragon... awesome, eh?

This is the great WaterDragon. I think it is by Sixus. As I only play with Poser and never do commercial or anything I have all my readmes filed away on CDs. Unfortunately they are not in any real order! Hence the reason I can not remmeber for sure who created this great dragon!

file_1661.jpg

OK, this is Sixus' fire dragon. I adore this one, isn't he fierce looking! He looks even better with his texture on. I have most the dragons mentioned here but I think this is prob. my favorite! Oh, and the Dracos Titanicus coz it is the biggest! And the Hatchling coz it is the sweetest!

sixus1 ( ) posted Fri, 20 February 2004 at 10:01 AM

Yeah, the WaterDragon is one of our freebies. :) Rebekah

elgyfu ( ) posted Fri, 20 February 2004 at 2:10 PM

And very nice he is too Rebekah! He was from a computer art magazine cover disk I believe. Thanks for a great freebie, I love your dragons!

ANd then there is the Hydra and SeaSearpent by Michael Lane. They sort of count as dragons.

I use a photoshop sharpening technique I developed. I hate Poser's anti-aliasing. ------------------------------------------- WHOO HOOO. My friend Merrilyn made a new Oriental Dragon and put it at PoserPros. She did an awesome job. Very well done. Poses great. Tons of face morphs. -Anton

I'm SO glad that I'm reading this thread! Here's it's what 2 YEARS later and it still has life?? It would be nice to have links for some of the dragons that appear "lost to time". Anyone heard from rattler, if the dragon in #63 is available yet? Is he even still around? BTW was this guy mentioned here (rendo store)

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Valandar ( ) posted Sun, 29 February 2004 at 7:42 AM

Ugh, looking back on that oriental dragon of mine, I see SOOO many ways it could be improved. The mesh for the head is simply horrible, and I suck at transmapping so the mane looks horrible, too. I also could have made the body Easypose, but someone else beat me to it (the easypose CR2 is still in freestuff, I believe) BTW, Gareee, what can I say... Poser people love dwaggys.

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

cooler ( ) posted Sun, 29 February 2004 at 3:01 PM

Gareee, I don't even remember where I downloaded it from. No readme file, unfortunately & I suspect the original website is long gone.

Jeeezuz pleezus. What was the FUCK was the point of all that?? Is this really showcasing products (given that this IS the product showcase forum) or just wasting space with bandwidth-swallowing show-off renders??

I'm happy to be otherwise persuaded.

this thread is an old 'resource' thread showcasing pictures of all the poser dragons out there, free and otherwise. It used to be in the poser forum .. hadnt realised it got moved over .. weird.

why? so that we we can find them and also so new makers of dragons wont accidentally do 'repeats'.   plus plagiarists cant get away with stealing an older mesh

if you dont want to look ..then dont. yeesh

nicked - thank you very much for the additions :) thats what I was hoping for

Lyrra

pearce ( ) posted Tue, 11 April 2006 at 10:30 PM

"f you dont want to look ..then dont. yeesh"

Absolutely. Can't argue with that.
But you still have to download the frickin reptiles (or at least the thread containing the things) before you know you don't want to look at them. Throw them back in the Poser bin if that's where they came from.

Obviously I'll not re-visit this bandwidth-sucking thread from now on :)
