What IS a "Sticky"? How is it different from a "Post"? I notice that this message is a Sticky whereas most of the others are Posts.

A sticky post will ALWAYS stay at the top of the (Bryce) forum. It will not fall downwards with the other posts. I can also do an "Announcement" thread, but as of yet I don't see any difference to that and a sticky thread.... AS

So what qualifies as an OT thread? Suppose I wanted to tell y'all about my great-grandfathers' adventures in the Himalayas in 1756, how he captured a band of Yetis and took them back to Blighty to vist Queen Victoria? Would that be OT even though he used Bryce 1? :sneaky: And where do I get those giant smilies?

Sorry, no. ONLY what has been listed above in the first post and my last/previous post will be allowed. Complaints have been recieved many times in the past that the Forum was looking more like an OT Forum, than a place to discuss Bryce. Some members had stopped coming to the Forum.

So the members of this forum are not allowed to look human but simply as Bryce, Renderosity and Daz product sales posters? Youll excuse me, but theres more to people than growing your user base to increase your profit margin and then call it a community of artists.

I've always allowed posts about anyone's personal news; new jobs, tragedies, pets, school, etc. And, I always will. I (or others) may make the random post about some new free item at DAZ, or even something cool that's on sale there, but it's not very often that, that happens. I don't even squash threads that criticize DAZ or Renderosity (unless it gets personal) Through the critical threads good ideas have usually sprung up. Listen, I'll tell you what...I keep hearing that we can have some sort of forum within a forum with this PHP, or something like that. Way up above, right under where it says "Welcome to the Bryce Forum", is the link "my options". In there you will see the field in which to browse for an image on your hard drive to have as your avatar. (100x130, 25kb max)
