Subject: New Shaders are here!

D|S now has a host of new possibilities, thanks the the new 3 Delight shaders by Poseworks.

It's called pwSurface. The shaders are brilliant - ambient occlusion, subsurface scattering, diffusion,  translucence.... and very easy to apply and modify - one click presets and then extra sliders in the advanced surface tab for further customisation.

This takes D|S into Poser 6 territory  and beyond. New presets are being shared almost hourly.

I'm still playing around , but here's my first render.

The DAZ thread is in the Forum Commons at

Can I also do Toon shaders with this product ?

I have bought it already, actually, heh heh.

For some perverse reason, I have temporarily given up 3D rendering and gone into modelling anime / manga-style hair.  I want the hair to appear in toon renders in DAZ Studio1.3.

I have tested with the default toon setting in DS, and so far the result is OK.  But I want it to look really anime-ish.   Any pointers ?  Thanks.

Nope PWSurface doesn't do toon shading, but if you dont already have them the freebie toon shaders in the DAZ freebie repositiory that were given away a few weeks ago are excellent giving far more control than the basic toon renderer.
