My first from scratch body texture! I need to just a little touch up, and she should be available tonight. The hair is the Kyoko hair for Vicki available in free stuff. The next project is making her over for Possette.

I LOVE the tex.....The best drow tex I have seen yet! What are the material settings?

Lunaseas ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 4:02 PM

She's set to a medium grey all over with a highlight of roughly the same color and the highlights are set in the 85% range. Texture is NOT applied to the highlight.

She looks awesome:) I can't wait until you make her for Posette:)

too bad sh'e too dark to use, except anything lighter than her. She looks good but for a drow character she honest to the Original descriptions but too dark to use.

Why do you say she is too dark to use?

lalverson ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 7:51 PM

First, I meant no disrespect to you. What I meant on her being too dark, is really what I meant. you are showing her now on a background that contrasts against her, so she is visable. But Use her in a neutral background or a interior aor "Tavern set" you'll have to pucnh up the light to make out her details. and if you use more lighter toned characters. they will look washed out because of the light you have to use with her. As I had said, You stayed to the original description very well. but actually using description makes it almost useless to make drow. because they either wash out the scen with all the lights to see them, or they become black wholes and you cannot tell what they look like. That is why I opted for grey, they light better and blend in with other skin tones.
