Welcome to the IR club Joe! :m_thumbu: Some nice test shots there, esp. the last. As you saw with the first one, late day photos don't show the Woods Effect so much. How did you set the White balance? I must say I rather like the straight out of the cam colors. Show us some more when you play around some more! :m_bouncy:

I gotta get me one of those!
Hope you'll share more...

Mine looks like 100% disaster!...You can ask ... What a... heck that!!?? My hubby calls it " very individual" ...(how sweet he is) I call it a "vivid side of IR "

tripod is strongly reccomended in this kind of shots!
good start and white balance settings... cannot understand the cyan "reflection" on some leaves... i love the fourth, it shows at best the infrared effect!
You can see how postwork is needed though. Joe definitely is getting a central hot-spot like I do, though not a severe. Tunde, I actually really like yours. Very otherworldly. If you don't like the colors, set you camera to B&W mode. ;]

Forgive my ignorance, but do they all come out looking like Tunde's if not set to B/W mode?
I always assumed it would make everything red, lol.Shows how little I know!

if you set the white balance of your camera (for example to the grass), you'll obtain white grass and yellow skies...
if you'll set to "auto" probably you'll obtain a total red image... nothing to do with it...
if you'll set to "tungsten" you'll be able to obtain orange skies and pink foliage...
:)
just play with it
Thanks May.
I'm not surprised you'd know that. You take some of the most beautiful IR pix I've ever seen.

At Kingston Locke on the Delaware-Raritan canal near Princeton.
Find its sometimes hard to compose the shot, as the LCD is useless with the IR filter on. The G6 has a glass viewfinder that is NOT thru the LENS (more of a reference frame)
A li'l more work...but WORTH the results!
