Subject: I'm sorry, but I just have to say...

...this is THE friendliest, most helpful, least bitchy, most creative, least self-righteous, least stuck up, and just plain most fun of all the 3D community forums! -SMT :)

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Well, aww, gee, shucks, Steve.... It's as they teach you in Euclidean Geometry courses: The whole is equal to the sum of its' parts. I'm glad you're having a good time, and I know we're just as happy to have you around as well. :) Cheers, Happiness, and Hoopla, Mike

smallspace ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 8:27 PM

Gee...and I thought "parts wuz parts"!

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 8:32 PM

Yes, and we Vue-erz are view-ers; quiet sayers and modest do-erz... say THAT 50 times fast!

tesign ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 9:03 PM

"Euclidean Geometry courses: The whole is equal to the sum of its' parts"....hee x2!...Mike, have you heard : The hole is equal to the sum of its naught!

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 9:07 PM

LOL! Oh, man, Bil, that's GOOD!

bloodsong ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 9:16 PM

hey... and here i was working hard at being the evil twin :/ ;)

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 9:19 PM

Don't worry Bloodsong-- there will always be a need for the anti-Vue-er. Plus, we NEED someone to keep us from getting all nicey-nice.... I'm counting on you-- please don't let us down!

tradivoro ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 10:24 PM

Well, yeah, I want to add, that this is a very nice site and what attracted me here is that everyone's direction with the art and what you can do with the program is much closer to my way of thinking than any other site I found... I've been a to a couple of folks galleries (Varian, Laurie, Mike's) and the works there inspire you to do something beautiful... Other sites on the web have works with great technique, but many a time dark, and negative... So, this is a positive place... :) I know, now you're going to say "hey, this guy is calling us goody two shoes, where does he get off"... :) But no, really, it's a compliment to be positive..

tesign ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 10:57 PM

Hey MikE! Think you should suggest or may its time for a "THE friendliest, most helpful, least bitchy, most creative, least self-righteous, least stuck up, and just plain most fun" forum challenge and award...Ha x3! Hmmm...wonder if e-on care about this place. I think we brought them a lot of business!...better then true marketing huh!? ;-)

Varian ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2001 at 11:48 PM

Hey you guys! Geez...I'm reading through this, and I thought of several comments. I was laughing pretty hard in places, and coming kinda teary-eyed in others. Now I'm down to the bottom, and gee, what the heck can I say to add to this? There's a lot I could repeat, echoing the sentiments as mutually felt, that's for sure! The folks here are great! (Yes, even Bloodsong!) ;) Thanks, Steve, for your post to start all this. Really cool! And thanks Paul, for calling us goody-two-shoes in a really cool way! I agree heartily with the idea of positive imagery, and I'm sure that's one of the reasons I feel so comfortable around here, too. Gosh, thanks to everyone! Okay now: :: GROUP HUG! :: :) :) :)

tesign ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 12:38 AM

"comfortable around here"...Eh Varian!...me got a spare water bed unsed...yes brand new except for dust collected over the days...I'll post it here :)

Petunia ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 12:46 AM

a waterbed party!! oh boy!!! let me just get out a few essentials, like, um, my flippers, goggles and of course my snorkel!!! yippeeeeeeee! Now I can jump right in - huh? LOL what fun!! Big Hugs to all of you and a special welcome to smallspace! Diana

tesign ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 12:51 AM

"special welcome to smallspace!"...how how? Did he just join us today?...I thought he's old timer here ;) Btw, Diana...about the waterbed..hee x2!...don't wear anyhthing sharp when you are on it. I'm not too concern that u might puncture it, we may get drown!....yes its as big as a dam....LOL! Mike is not invited as his horns post unnecessary risk to us all :)

MikeJ ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 4:05 AM

LOL! I don't know if E-on watches this forum or not. I know Lynn Fredricks, aka "kaiju" is involved with Willow's and Grey's Poser Forum offshoot at the Vue Forum they have there, which seems kinda odd, because this site has about 80,000% more members.....

tesign ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 4:35 AM

What!?...only 80,000%! Hmmm...I thought we were at something like 99,999.99%...must go update my MS Excel ;-)

martin_c ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 7:19 AM

Becuase I don't post here Mike, that doesn't mean I don't visit to see what you are all saying ;) Martin

MikeJ ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 8:02 AM

Oh I know, Martin... I can kind of "sense" when you're here. ;) Oh, BTW, since the Vue Forum at the PFO doesn't allow for automatic replies, I want to let you know, I'm still trying to understand what you mean when you refer to your "radiosity object". Although I do agree that whatever it is specifically, it does create better, or rather, more realistic shadows. I'd like to see you continue to develop that one, for sure! :)

martin_c ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 8:09 AM

LOL... Cheers Mike, I will...and I am getting better results :o) Martin

tradivoro ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 9:53 AM

Thanks for the group hug Varian... :)

smallspace ( ) posted Thu, 05 April 2001 at 10:41 AM

...getting all teary eyed. -SMT (heads off to go do a deep, dark, gloomy, underwater scene just to show he's not too much of a goodie two shoes!)

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

hmph. they'd never go for that small! there'd be no posts on it! ;)

Varian ( ) posted Fri, 06 April 2001 at 10:36 PM

Welcome, Peter! You're just in time for a bunch of hugs here. You can also kiss Bloodsong if you feel inclined, but be cautious there, because we haven't decided what gender s/he might be! At any rate, you don't have to kiss Bloodsong in order to enjoy Vue. :) Congratulations on your FedEx arrival! :D

tesign ( ) posted Fri, 06 April 2001 at 11:43 PM

Welcome Peter :)...as for bloodsong, the last time seh/he said that seh/he is a hunky chunky sorta....and a black guy standing at 6' 8".
